  • I love Amazon deals! We love to travel and anything that makes traveling easier is worth trying out. Love always finds Amazon coupon codes so we purchased both of these space saver bags for testing before our next trip. Here is our unboxing and review. I was surprised for the cheap price that both bags worked really well.
    both bags combined would of cost us around $40 but instead we paid around $5.

    put your bag inside the suitcase before you pump out the air so it fits inside the case! Much easier.

    Nice comparison but you would need to make space in the luggage for the pump for the vacuum saver bags cuz you're gonna need the pump to pack your clothes on your return trip. So the vacuum bags would take up a bit more room with the pump.

    I have only ever purchased the "roll up" bags (from the dollar store!). They work pretty good. I do like your option of the vacuum bag but I would never have a vacuum in my hotel room to use and I don't think I want to bring a pump with me (on my personal backpack) because I have very limited room in my backpack when traveling & the reason I would use these vacuum bags would be to fit more into my backpack so I don't have to pay for luggage. :) Also, with the roll up bags you zip it up but leave a corner open then roll from the bottom and the air comes out at the zippered corner you left open. When done zip it the rest of the way. :)

    The real problem and question is how long do they last? The vacume bags compress and shrink down great but don't hold the seal very long and eventually reinflate and expand. I'd like to know if there are any vac bags out there that won't break seal and hold longer?

    1. You should get vacuum bags that is the size of the suitcase;
    2. You need also to put the pump into the bag;
    3. If you bring several smaller vacuum bags with the pump, you will save the most space.

    Not sure if anyone else said this but I think for the roll up on you weren't supposed to seal it all the way. I have the same.type and for mine you're supposed to put the clothes in, seal it but leave a bit of it unzipped, roll it out, and then finish sealing it after all the air has been removed.

    • @PhantasticFamily

    Curious: how wrinkled are clothes after hours in compression bag?
    Also, anyone try Daiso (Japanese dollar store) brand compression bags? I have noticed that Daiso has very good quality items for less than. $1.50- comparing to the junk I have bought at 99cents store only and dollar Tree / Dollar king. I realized this after I compared a pair of reading glasses from Daiso and my dollar king specs. I usually lose them so I will buy 8 pairs at a time @dollar king. if I didn’t lose them - the frames snap in half or the lenses would pop out constantly. I’ve had the same pair of Daiso reading glasses for months now and they are still one piece.
