      Hey Cesar remember when your pitbull Junior killed Queen Latifah's dog and you forced your staff to cover it up by pretending the dog was k\hit by a car? Or that time your pitbull junior mauled the teenage girl and left her with life altering injuries? Should we really be taking dog training advice from you?

    • @markfuller
      @markfuller Před 2 lety

      @@miltonfriedman7349 How does someone "force" staff to cover up something? They're employees who come and go. Wouldn't someone have sold their story to TMZ? They pay handsonly for scandalous tips like this (especially back in 2016 when the Great Pig-Ear Controversy had everyone rioting in the streets, almost).
      Likewise, the person who made that allegation (which you state as fact as having life-altering injuries) waited 2 years after the statute of limitations to file her suit. Then she let her suit go inactive for months, leading to the court to issue an "order to show cause re: dismissal." From what I've read (and anyone can search the term for themselves), that means the case is tentatively dismissed due to the plantiff not taking their own claim seriously, prosecuting it with diligence and timeliness. That fits the docket's entries. And, it fits the last thing the plantiff did (demand $850k "or I'll go to the press" just two weeks before TMZ "broke" the story.").
      There's _a lot_ about this story which doesn't sound the way a person would expect it to if it happened. Readers should realize that the story (in it's simpler, TMZ form) is a feather in your cap because you oppose the pit bull breed as a public-safety matter. Thus, you don't have a motive to tell the whole story (and, as I've seen, get quite upset if anyone does tell the rest of the story). I urge others to think for themselves, look into it themselves, etc.

      @@ChiefHerzensCoach Too bad there's not a show or youtube channel showing the implied vastly better results. You'd think if there's something so much better, someone would desire fame & fortune (or the altruism of leading people to something so much better.). I.e., it's easy to talk the talk (the ego likes it when others are wrong, and I do things best).
      FWIW: I was into modern behaviorism (the 4 quadrants). It is absolutely very powerful. I urge everyone to get into it, and use it where appropriate. The problem I saw (being in it for over 10 years) is that it doesn't work for all problems, all dogs, all people. It does create a religious mindset of superiority, and preaching at others (evangelizing). Many people I know who are still in this world have dogs at home they can't control. They have to keep them separated by gates. It's like they live in two worlds (two faces). But, it definitely is a tool (or dimension) to training.
      In your case, I think you're benefiting from Germany's overarching regulation of dog ownership, breeding, limiting who can own certain breeds. If the US had such regulations, we'd probably have more balanced dogs due to wiser (more responsible) breeding. Less challenging dogs. Less kill-shelter circumstances that require pragmatic choices about how to save lives. Many people here wish we were like that, and license ownership, etc. Until that happens (and Craigslist is shut down), it's easy to have an ivory-tower view.

    I see that these dogs go into an avoidance emotion after Cesar works with them. HOWEVER, from my own experience the more you work with the dog the more they understand and narrow down the exact idea.
    My dog wanted to stalk and kill cats. After one session of this method she would avoid the cat, not look at the cat, and overall not desire to be close to the cat. But within a week she was actually able to let the cat rub against her and she sniffed the cat, something she would have never been able to do before. At this point we switched into positive reinforcement with which I encouraged proper ways to interact with cats.
    So don't judge the method based on these "first sessions" because, yes, the dogs go through and emotional change. But with time(as with all methods) the best part shines through. My cat and dog have lived at peace for two years now after trying everything else for the first five years of having them together.
    Thank You, Cesar for all that you have taught me!

    • @andrew348
      @andrew348 Před 2 lety +7

      That's just part of the process, within a day the dog would lazily hangout as the vacuum is being used and not give two wits about it. My dog doesn't care if the vacuum goes within 2 inches of him. Those dogs are simply at the beginning of being reconditioned, their reaction is not abnormal. The sad thing is that "pet lovers" perceive every emotion that isn't excitement as distress and their "empathy" keeps them from finishing a process to achieve more desirable behavior. This is why you often see "pet lovers" catering to their over excited, aggressive, territorial, or fearful dogs for years or even throughout the dogs life. If "pet lovers" would get out of their own head and discomforts they could recondition a dog in less than a week so its improved behavior will allow it to have a much happier life.

      Agree, my friend has border collies, and she thinks training them to walk without pulling her on the leash, is unnecessary, the only thing she's thinks is important, is the recall.
      And they listen, but not instantly.
      They're just so bored (they don't get enough mental or physical stimuli) so the youngest (which is bred to work with cows) goes after the throat of other animals.
      It's choked the cat twice, until it stopped breathing, and it did the same with my dog.
      I was in the bathroom, when I heard my dog starting to gurgle..
      She doesn't take responsibility for it. Poor dogs.
      Why get a high energy breed, when you don't want to give them what they need?

    Hi Cesar, you need to further demonstrate how to make the “eight” using a slip leash. Unsure how exactly you did that. Keep up the good work.

      Slip the lead over the head but keep the loop large. Twist the lead to make another smaller loop with is placed over the muzzle. The two loops crisscross near the dog’s throat.

      You twist the loop into a figure 8.
      the upper part bigger than the lower loop. then slip the upper to the head and the lower over the snout.

    Cesar, I need your help I have a 2yr old German Shepard mix who’s friendly, but not getting along with cats that came with our new home. What can I do get them to see each other as family? We need the cats on our 10 acres to keep rattle snakes and mice away. For now I keep my dog on leash and try to get them close but the weirdest thing my dog does not bark at the cats she squeals as though they are hurting her instead of barking. Please help?

    My heeler loved to be vacuumed....and my curly haired Selkirk Rex cat watched! Then he wanted to be vacuumed! Could not vacuum without their help!!

  • @christinaaa_xo
    @christinaaa_xo Před 2 lety +2

    My dog is constantly attacking the vacuum. It can be frustrating, especially when I get the hose out. I don't know how to make him stop. Also, all of my dogs will steal our food. We definitely can't walk away from it, or it's gone. They jump and bark at everything. My Pitbull is crazyyyyy! He is starting to become aggressive with the other animals and sometimes us. Both I and my boyfriend have been bit trying to separate the dogs when they fight. I don't know what to do and what I am doing wrong that is allowing or encouraging this behavior. I can't even allow the dogs to be together anymore because they attack each other, resulting in significant injuries. Especially my chihuahua. He has gotten very badly hurt because of it. What can I do to help correct this behavior and what am I doing wrong? I sent you a bunch of messages on Instagram trying to get help because it's getting to the point that I am going to have to re-home my pit, and I don't want to have to do that. I rescued him. I'm not giving up on him. I know the issues can be fixed, I just don't know how
