Wow! Just the best recording available on CZcams right now. You guys play amazingly harmonic in rythm and tone! But why, why are you sitting???? It just sounds so much better than it looks - especially seeing quite a few of you really slouching.. I'd love to see that performance live one day - if you will somehow play together after you graduated. But please, stand!! ;)
I agree, our major concern was the sound quality, this recording has been for a contest selection. Amazingly the recording sound better when sitting.
Yeah, probably because your Bodies are a little more relaxed. But if you just played for the record, Im perfectly fine with that. I actually prefer playing the trumpet in a sitting position myself :) But it's just..at least with a straight back ;)
This is not just well played, it is also well recorded. The only change I would make is to slightly(and I mean ever-so-slightly narrow the stereo field.
This room is very hard to record, with it's size and number of musicians, and only 1 hour for recording, the best microphone position has been very challenging to find.

Is this just trumpets? It sounds like there's some woodwinds and low brass but isn't this a trumpet only ensemble?
Yes, only the musicians you see on the video, it's a live recording.
