When River Plate got relegated in 2011, a fan committed suicide straight after the game, he had spend his whole life supporting a team that represented the best of the best, the rulers of Argentina, and to see them fall broke him. A tragic loss of human life, but just goes to show you how much people's teams affect their lives.
got to reme, mber that in europe where most of these chants are from, they have more than 1000 years of history and football today is like modern day tribe wars
5 April 2000. Galatasaray had won UEFA Cup that year. On the matchday of the first leg of semi-finals, a Galatasaray fan saw a bunch of drunk Leeds fans and st@bbed two of them. This kind of primitive gruesome violence was quite often at that time. Where I am from, despite here being a small city and our club is in the fourth league, a firearm homicide between two ultras groups happened when I was a kid. It was so often two groups clash each other with kebab blades, that people would not really be surprised about it. My father was a policeman and did duty outside of stadiums a long time. We love football, we enjoy and watch every match and discuss football all the time, but he never let me watch a game at the stadium after he had seen what was happening over there. Now the time has changed for good. Abuse is still an integral part of football but I rarely hear about this kind of violence anymore. There still are some mentally challenged groups but overall the people have changed.
The club shouting about sending Albanians to the slaughter, thats Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) from Belgrade, Their Ultras, the Delije back in the 80s had a leader called Arkan, who was on Interpol's most wanted list in the 70s and 80s for robberies and murders committed in a number of countries across Europe. He helped create riots in a game versus Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb, which led to heavy fighting, and eventually along with other factors, the Yugoslav wars. Arkan became a war criminal and was responsible for genocide, he also ended owning another Serbian football team, who ended up playing in the Champions league against Bayern Munich. The Yugoslav wars then led to the war between Serbia and Albania, where there were crimes committed by both sides, against the serbs the Albanian UCK kidnapped and murdered thousands of non Albanians in Kosovo in 1999. Thats why they are calling for that. That is how serious this shit is.
@@ThomasDonnelly1888 That also can't qualify as such, it is a war crime but there certainly wasn't intent to exterminate entire or significant part of population... Like I said genocide isn't something to throw around and use lightly out of respect for the victims of actual genocides...
You need to learn the history of these teams and countries before reacting like that bro, dont come angry and act the big I am.,some people will take it personal.... there is bad blood and historical differencies all across Europe and sometimes this is the only way to get your feelings over,it gets a lot worse than you will ever see on some daft youtube channel, people die every week, until you know wtf your talking about,,just dont.
The Feyenoord one actually shows which side The Netherlands is on during the ongoing Palestine-Israel conflict... it's sickening how their true nature always has been out there since forever... the Dutch should be ashamed of themselves
There is a lot of hate specially in Balkan, because of our history, wars, slaughters, mass murders...it sucks and i strongly dislike it. But i can understand why. There is too much hate between the Slavs in general. And historically Slavs dislike Turks and on and on. Those chants are normal on a football game. In fact there are even worse chants. Too much blood was spilled ,and all sides committed atrocities, and it will take time for people to forget that. Mix that with football that is more than "just a game",it`s like a religion,it is passed down from father to son and you have this, normal football chants :) Screw it for me it`s better then a guy yelling "fight and win" 🤣
@@ItsFlamoFTW I know it sucks i cant stand it either. It makes me angry all that extreme nationalism, and hate. The balkan 😂 . even though they have the same language and race. if the town over there have different religion. Is war.

About the people who have not changed, check Trabzonspor fans storming the pitch and fighting Fenerbahçe players last month.

Arkan was never even accused for genocide let alone convicted. He more then likely was a war criminal but genocide shouldn't be thrown around lightly.
@@draganmarkovic491 I mean if you say so, the real genocide was Nato bombing Belgrade I can tell you that.
