My FRESHMEN year in highschool I got cut from the basketball team. I was so hurt that I went to find the coach in school, who is also a teacher and talked to him. I asked him why he cut me. The coach said i was too small and I have no handles and can't shoot the ball well and that there were other guards who were better than me. I was so hurt that I cried and was so embarrass that my friends who made the team knew I got cut, the school knew I got cut, my family knew I got cut. The next day I went to the park and started working out, working on my weaknesses, doing drills. I did this Air Alert program to increase my abilities in jumping, speed, explosiveness, etc. I would tell my dad to drop me off to the park everyday and leave me there for 3 to 4 hours in the morning. I watched a lot of nba games and observed and learned the game better. I played a lot of pick up games to work on my new moves and to see increase my IQ of the game. I played one on one with the best players in the park and older players and varsity players. I would lose but my game would get better that later on in months that I would beat them or have a really close game. SOPHOMORE year came and the coach who cut me now coaches JV. I tried out and I beasted! All the hard work I put in that one year showed that I was in a higher level than the people that tried out. I would average 20+ 8assist in games. Coach moved me to VARSITY in the second half of the season. I was the only sophomore in varsity but I barely got any play time and so the NEW MOTIVATION STARTED. I wanted to be starter! Worked my ass off for the following year and BECAME A STARTER my junior year. Brought the team to the first NCS championship ever but lost by 3 point. I was MVP in our lleague and hold a lot of records. Next year we WON THE NCS CHAMPIONSHIP and lost in the 2ND ROUND IN STATE. I PLAYED IN COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND GOT A SCHOLARSHIP TO WALDORF UNIVERSITY. BTW I'M 5'6 140LBS. BE THE HARDEST WORKING PERSON IN THE ROOM!!!!
