  • Very good antenna, can lower noise, but might not be for everyone

tnx for sharing ! having the same thing with local noise.. would be great to make them filters if possible . but i have no idea what filter to use.. the frequency where the noise is coming from is 480 mhz and its wide. have no clue what it is..

They should have allowed you to switch the filters in and out. Thanks for sharing.

I have this antenna with the described filters installed. Yet in my location I'm having a terrible time trying to receive any HF signals. WWV at 15 Mhz is the strongest daytime signal I can receive on any radio (SDRPlay RSP2 pro & my Tecsun S-2000) but it's barely audible. I have yet to try the antenna in another location.

In general the daytime bands have been terrible all across HF, unless sporadic E conditions have been present (sadly, the season for that is on the downside and almost over now). I've had far more to listen to at night. Coincidentally I have the same rx as you.

@@MDK2_Radio Thanks for the reply. I took my W6LVP loop to my parents house to test it for outside reception there. I've had some excellent DX with it there in the evening. I will need to put the antenna outside at my condo in order for it to be more effective.
