This video is a list of all of our favorite travel gifts for Christmas. These travel accessories are products that we use during our world travels that help us pack lighter, travel more efficiently and make travel more enjoyable. ▶️ We started our channel to inspire and share our world travel lifestyle, adventures, and optimistic outlook on life with others. After completing a two-year journey in our Airstream to see all 50 states and 51 National Parks, we left to travel abroad. We have downsized our possessions and sold our home so that we can wander about with only the things in our backpacks.
We love living on the road, traveling each week to a new location. We plan to travel extensively to every part of the world. Ours is not a slow travel lifestyle but rather a vagabondish one. The goal is not to check a country off a list, but to experience it by meeting new people, seeing how others live, and making new friends. We believe in laughing, loving, and living our lives to the fullest.
We are working hard to build a beautiful website where you can get travel information about the places we have been. In addition, we post blog articles to help you travel better. Our channel is a way of augmenting that effort, so sometimes we post videos about how to travel or a vlog showing our lives on the road as we do an activity or an adventure. We also post Shorts, so check those out, too. We hope to entertain you, but most importantly, we want to inspire you and give you the confidence to plan your own adventure around the world.

I remember another vlogger mentioning not liking a separate eye mask, because he just uses his stretchy gaiter type product to switch between neck warmer, face mask or eye mask, etc. He only wants multi use, and I noticed I don’t use my eye masks anymore when traveling, either.

Thanks for sharing what gear has worked for you! We use some of the same brands - Osprey, Arc'teryx, and Sea to Summit. In addition we have gear from Smartwool, Wright (double layer socks - have never gotten a blister wearing them on multi-day hikes), Kuhl (hiking pants and rain gear), prAna and a Garmin inReach for satellite SOS and tracking. These are certainly higher end brands that cost more, but we have found it is worth the money. You don't want to be in some remote part of the world and have your gear fail. Some advice regarding Arc'teryx. They have a lot of choices and can be a bit overwhelming. Fortunately, we have a store where we live. We went to the store and described what we would be using the jackets for. The person we spoke with was able to direct us to exactly what we needed, which was different from what we thought we needed prior to going to the store. The Garmin inReach is fantastic but like with any aspect of travel be sure to do your research first if the country will allow it. One unique and unforgiving law in India is absolutely no satellite phones. It’s usually a simple one liner when getting your visa and such. Usually not an issue in other countries as some travellers like having the extra connectivity when abroad.

Wonderful ideas! Think back and remember how we traveled 40 years ago...OMG! Today we go with a carry-on and one bag if a week+. Your electronic charging systems are a bit scary but you're revolving in a far longer radius than we are. 😁 Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and cheers for the holidays!

John, just one thing, with those belts that used to get you through the airport metal detectors rapidly, no good now in Australia, every passenger must go through a "whole body scan device", even domestic not just International travelers. All "layers" of apparel must be removed. You still lose your belt, only found out earlier this week, we hadn't flown for a couple of months.

I bought a lot of your stuff on Black Friday. Anker 747, short white power strip, towel, tie up doo hickeys, waterproof baggies. It's a Christmas present for my 20 year old grandson, an engineering student, with a keeper girlfriend from Colombia. Oh and the 3 way outlet thingy. I figure all this is good for now, on campus or wherever. In Colombia, and later for travel with a job.

Great list! I completely second the AirTag recommendation- it is so nice to send an airtag in each bag so you know exactly where it all is. It also very much came in handy when we had an unfortunate event in Rome where our luggage was stolen- we were able to see the exact coordinates of our bags which helped in retrieving them with police. Highly, highly recommend! :)

Thank you for another timely and well researched vidio. The only issue I ran across with only needing one America the Beautiful Senior Pass, was that my husband had ours and when he passed away later last year that means I had to purchase an America the Beautiful Senior Pass for myself. It was still worth it. I'm with John on the coffee issue and have used many different methods to get my cup, but pour over is one of my favorites for traveling. I am not full time, because I am lucky enough to still have my Mother who lives nearby and is in her 90s. Right now I am still working on seeing all the National Parks, historic sites, and monuments with occasional overseas travel. I upgraded my Osprey Farpoint for the Fairview but got the 40L because the day pack does not work for me. I have a daypack that does and easy rigged a quick and easy attachment system. I am also on the small side and verticality challenged so my gear takes up less space anyway. I am going to start changing out some of my items for the one's you showed because yours are definitely better for overseas travel. I am really enjoying your channel and your web page. Thanks for the recommendations but I have a Google Pixel, and your Apple products are unfortunately not compatible. I also love my Pixel, better quality pictures and it has a magic eraser edit feature which when in public I can literally erase the unwanted people in my picture. Apple cannot do that.

Have you ever flown on TAP AIR Portugal? We are also backpack carry-on only travelers. We plan to use TAP next year but their carry-on baggage size is really small. Are they very strict? Thanks in advance.
We flew TAP to Madeira from Lisbon, but can't remember if we checked. In general, we were ok with the 10kg limits, but always have had to check with 7 kg limits. Enjoy Portugal and here is the link to our Portugal blogs that might be helpful.

Thank you. We pack similar brands of travel clothing items as you two so they are light weight and our bag is never over 10 kg, ~19 lbs. It is the dimension of the bag that concerns us. Good luck with that TSA multi-tool. In Atlanta, my brother wasn't allowed to board with that or a 6" adjustable wrench with all rounded edges. 🙄
