As a Michigan State fan and alum, I really appreciate you covering these things. I don't think they are talked about enough. I appreciate you reaching across the aisle!
Where are those seven to eight or better wins coming from? Maryland is a loss. Ohio State and Oregon are blowout losses. Iowa is a guaranteed loss. The weasels are another blowout. Illinois is a push. Rutgers is a loss. B.C. and Purdue are not guarantees. MSU will be lucky to reach five to six wins.
Why is Maryland and Rutgers automatic losses? Thats crazy. I think people are going to learn how big a difference coaching really makes in this sport. I still think likely 6 wins but Maryland and Rutgers are not automatic Ls. @@adamdearing6560
There were several issues with Tucker, but the flashy recruiting tactics wasn't one of them. The main problem was that this would have worked better before NIL basically canceled out any appeal that may have had. MSU does need a steady hand, but I disagree that it needs to be content with rebuilding slowly in a boring way.
Nah he's loyal just couldn't pass up the opportunity to make more money at a bigger school in probably now the elite conference at least in terms of money and opportunity Oregon State is in the now dead Pac-2 conference
I think 6-7 wins is the ceiling. Lost too much to the transfer portal, especially along that defensive line. Also that four game stretch in the middle of the season looms large.
@@DB-xp9px I don't remember which CZcamsr pointed this out but someone stated it's because of the depth we have at each position especially o line is not strong. so if we sustain any major injuries season could be tanked.
MSU does Deserve a little credit. But most improved? I had 4 wins to 6 this year and I wouldn't classify that as most improved. I would give Nebraska that high Honor. Great video Darren👍. I just want to say all of the E Scooters that are being found in the River is not a good look for the begrudged people who were cast aside by U of M. Go Blue!
There are three B1G teams that will bite the B1G dogs in the ass: 1. Indiana 2. Nebraska 3. Rutgers Michigan State will LOSE to both Indiana "and" Rutgers -- MARK IT DOWN!!!!
Are y’all saying Smith didn’t recognize what that administration and how these “people” set up a coach they didn’t want to pay anymore, well the bad news first, Michigan State served themselves up a sweet little punishment,20yrs of ineptitude and of course lots of disappointment in the win loss column, none of the “kind” words will help. The Big Ten don’t play when a school, does a coach bad, it’s over for a solid twenty, watch Iowa, Wisconsin,Nebraska Northwestern and now Michigan State, enjoy the bottom half of the conference, the administrators did the fans wrong too cover for what they didn’t get right.
@@user-ez2sy2qr2u watch, nothing will make a difference, new coach the best 5 star prospects , it won’t matter , that will be the clue that it’s real and who I am won’t make a difference either.

Thank you!
I hope we win 7 or 8. Smith is the real deal but year one is always tough so.... fingers crossed 🤞 🙏
I really see ceiling of 8-4 with a floor of 4-8 and A real guess of 7-5 a bowl game win puts them at 7-8 wins makes a good season!
If Smith guides Sparty to 6 wins than J.S. deserves a medal, fr.
7 to 8 wins. Is my floor. Vegas is tripping with only giving us 5.
To the point about coverage linebackers. Jordan Turner- problem solved 😂
Dont forget matthews to
Pump the brakes. Year 1 and a lot of unproven uncertainties. The O and D lines are shaky at best. I hope you’re right tho.. high side 7 low 4.

Oh boy, u need to put down the green kool-aid. Their floor is more like 5 or 6 wins.

GO GREEN!! LETS GO
8-4 or better!!
Mel tucker fell over laughing 8/ 4 record 2024
U know: Smith's peak cfb season, as Ore. St. qb1, was under hcErickson in 2000 (after which the Beavs defeated ND, 40-9, in Fiesta Bowl).
Nice analysis. Go green

The only thing that sucks is that if MSU has a bounce back season, Jonathan Smith will move on.

@@Darrentalksball 6-7 and no sexual assault and we'll call it good
😂
I think they'll go 6-6 and win the Motor City Bowl so improved, but not the most improved.
6-6 can get you a much better bowl than that, like the Gator Bowl
i wonder why vegas, who exists by getting these values right more often than not, is so down on msu?
The main reason is because they’re not very good at football
@@DapoopMang-p4r i agree but i was posing the hypothetical question to the optimism in this video and poking indirect fun at msu fans

Who can they beat head to head? I can think of ten to thirteen teams in the B1G that win against MSU.
Maryland 😂
U guys just wait smith will make calls that cost u games and the oc sux
I think Smith is a great hire however it is going to take years to repair all the damage from the Mel Tucker era.
No as long as it will take to repair the Hairball damage🤣🤣

Yes, once a year they come out of the woods to challenge Michigan. Only to get beat down and humiliated by the Maize n Blue! 😊
