THat would not be a fair assessment. Canada has in fact actively supported and encouraged the Khalistan issue. At least the Canadian govt under Trudeau has done so. And to deflect blame he makes up a cock and bull story about Indian govt involvement in gangland killings in Canada, which saw a Khalistani being sent to his maker. Ordinary Canadians must worry about Trudeau spoiling relations with a major trading partner and with canoodling with terrorists, drug runners and worse. As a Canadian, I am appalled by Justin Trudeau and Jagmeet Singh. I believe most Sikhs in Canada are law abiding citizens, but there are those who support Khalistan who support violence. We have seen a number of plots which have been foiled and some which have not, like the Air India bombing. Please accept that most of Canadians ( judging by recent polling) are fed up with both Justin Trudeau & Jagmeet Singh. I hope that when these individuals are gone, extremism will be thwarted and we can have a better relationship with India.
As an Indian we have no animosity towards Canadians and we do understand that the canadians themselves are fed up with Trudeau. We do have a problem with khalistanis that fund attacks in India. On a separate issue about Canada-India relations: you might want to investigate what happens to Indian students when they come to Canada. Canadian recruiters go to India, promise a great life to Indian students if they come study in Canada. Once there, they have to pay very expensive fees for diploma mills that are known to be worthless by employers, they fight each other for minimum-salary jobs and they live in awful conditions - they not only can't afford a home or an apartment, or even a room of their own, they rent time slots in shared beds.
The reason why the Canadian government is doing this is to use the students as warm bodies to keep its insane housing bubble inflated. They are using Indian students as cattle in order to keep pricing young Canadians out of a roof over their heads.

So yeah, overall that is the problem.
The best advice for this I can give as an immigrant is that come here to get a University degree from a Well Known (QS) Ranked University. Almost all of my classmates which did this have good jobs offers, the diploma route always looks very unpromising to me.
