Good job on checking the oil! One of the best things you can do for your car is change the oil at half the interval that is recommended. Example: recommend 5,000miles you would do 2,500-3,000miles. It really helps prolong the life of the engine.
i appreciate that so much!! a part of me would love to maintain that routine, and the other part is super reluctant because of how expensive it is haha😭 (although i’m sure this method pays off in the long run)
@@moonmiko Lol yeah it can be pricey. If you're using a car for just a short while then the recommended is fine. If it's a car you plan to have for many years then definitely worth considering. You could even do 80% (4,000miles) and that would still help. Whatever you do, do not put off changing your oil after the recommended mileage. A few hundred miles is fine, but don't go thousands over it.
