American Top Team Head Coach Mike Brown has built a legendary stable of fighters. He’s also one of the only MMA fighters in history to become the undisputed World Champion, and then go on to build multiple world champions as a coach. This is his story, and an exploration of unique methods and psychology that go into building martial arts greatness.

I can vaguely remember a video of Brad Pickett and Mike Brown living together back in the day where one of them was playing World of Warcraft all day outside of training . He seems like an easy going guy who has a passion for the sport, clearly in his element as a coach. I was at WEC 34, looking back that card was absolutely stacked.

Funny how things can look so different in hindsight. I was one of those guys that watched the early tapes of the UFC championships. I was definitely a casual during a time period we're almost everybody was a casua l then I Scarlett singing the WEC regularly and following fighters and somehow the first fighter I gravitated to was Urijah Faber. I was so pissed off when Mike Brown beat him because I really liked Faber's style and his kind of unusual movement an unusual grappling. It was unusual for me because I didn't know anything about grappling. Then out of nowhere some weird redheaded guy takes out my guy and I couldn't stand him for years. It's been a long time now so I'm willing to forgive him. 😂

at the time it was. had the consensus best FW division in the sport (hence, the UFC acquiring it and making their FW division the UFC FW division)

This tile is as biased as it gets lmao. Mike brown has never been a champion in any relevant org. he was a nobody in the ufc, has a few good runs but besides that... gate keeper at best. he's a champion of nothing.
the UFC did not have a FW division at the time, and the WEC had the best FW division in the world, and he was the champion of it. give the doc a watch, you'll learn a lot.
