I don't think we are in a place to judge Christi or Melissa, the other moms, or any of the girls that did/didn't show up, since there's a lot that happened on Dance moms that we didn't get to see behind the scenes, and the producers still won't show. While it does bug me a bit, I think it's really unfortunate how Christi's (Aside from her video message to Chloe) only appearance was to dog on Melissa. Not because I don't agree with Christi (I'm not defending Melissa whatsoever because it sounds like there's a lot of bad stuff she did on the show) but it just really orchestrates towards how Christi was represented on the show. I felt like the producers took care in making Christi always seem jealous of Maddie and Melissa. (She has stated on multiple occasions she regrets yelling in front of Maddie in season 1 episode 4). So I feel that this cameo fed into the "jealous character" Christi was pushed into, when she's definitely more than that. However it's been confirmed the party was a party for Paige while they were all in LA, which was probably one of their only chances to get together. Kalani briefly met Paige, and Jojo never met Paige, so it wouldn't make sense for them to go to a party for someone they've never met. This whole "party" thing was unnecessary and didn't need to be bought up on the reunion.

A few things to add here, while I love Melissa… I do think she instigated a lot of things on the show. For example, to invite some but not all is automatically divisive. Kalani definitely knew Paige and Brooke as her entrance (the way she came on the show rather) was the catalyst for the Hyland family leaving the show. She only invited the people on the show whom she had the most tension with in past seasons, and conveniently excluded others. The Hylands and Nia were the ones that were directly affected by choices that Melissa made when it came to the dance education of Maddie and Mackenzie, bc Abby put the most pressure on them to be like Maddie. Christi and Melissa honestly can’t coexist in the same room which is why she nor Chloe were invited in my opinion. I 1000% agree with Christi when she said she wanted to throw a fire blanket on whatever bomb was gonna pop off at that reunion.
My honest opinion is that Melissa didn't set anything up, but I don't blame Christi for feeling the way she does. Melissa lied to them for YEARS and was a very calculated woman, so I think Christi's reacting this way out of past experience 🤷♀️

I used to like this show but growing up watching this show and all the drama with it made me realize how much a negative impact these girls and their mom have on in young audiences. Growing up, I was always a fan of Christi and Chloe, like 100%, but watching the show over and over again, Christi's anger towards Melissa and Maddie is beyond normal, almost sickening.

Kalani has met them, but that doesn't make them friends. Their shared Dance Moms memory is traumatic for Paige and Brooke. Only a sadist would invite someone who would trigger those memories. I met someone the day my mother died. I wouldn't invite that person to a party later because I don't want that memory thrown back at me. It's nothing against Kalani. For whatever reason - and we don't have to know it - the party was for the smaller group and didn't include later entries into that world.

I don't think we are in a place to judge Christi or Melissa, the other moms, or any of the girls that did/didn't show up, since there's a lot that happened on Dance moms that we didn't get to see behind the scenes, and the producers still won't show. While it does bug me a bit, I think it's really unfortunate how Christi's (Aside from her video message to Chloe) only appearance was to dog on Melissa. Not because I don't agree with Christi (I'm not defending Melissa whatsoever because it sounds like there's a lot of bad stuff she did on the show) but it just really orchestrates towards how Christi was represented on the show. I felt like the producers took care in making Christi always seem jealous of Maddie and Melissa. (She has stated on multiple occasions she regrets yelling in front of Maddie in season 1 episode 4). So I feel that this cameo fed into the "jealous character" Christi was pushed into, when she's definitely more than that.
However it's been confirmed the party was a party for Paige while they were all in LA, which was probably one of their only chances to get together. Kalani briefly met Paige, and Jojo never met Paige, so it wouldn't make sense for them to go to a party for someone they've never met. This whole "party" thing was unnecessary and didn't need to be bought up on the reunion.

A few things to add here, while I love Melissa… I do think she instigated a lot of things on the show. For example, to invite some but not all is automatically divisive. Kalani definitely knew Paige and Brooke as her entrance (the way she came on the show rather) was the catalyst for the Hyland family leaving the show. She only invited the people on the show whom she had the most tension with in past seasons, and conveniently excluded others. The Hylands and Nia were the ones that were directly affected by choices that Melissa made when it came to the dance education of Maddie and Mackenzie, bc Abby put the most pressure on them to be like Maddie. Christi and Melissa honestly can’t coexist in the same room which is why she nor Chloe were invited in my opinion. I 1000% agree with Christi when she said she wanted to throw a fire blanket on whatever bomb was gonna pop off at that reunion.

Melissa or Maddie hosted PAIGE’S surprise birthday party at her house and NIA sent out the invites. Paige didn’t know Kalani or Jojo so I wouldn’t make any sense to invite them. If it was for say Mackenzie or Kendall, then yes Kalani and Jojo probably would’ve been invited.

I used to like this show but growing up watching this show and all the drama with it made me realize how much a negative impact these girls and their mom have on in young audiences. I loved watching their dances because I knew I could never dance the way they could, and it was inspiring to be honest a young girl not having any friends and wanting to be something more and watching this show dance moms kinda made it feel like I had friends and a dream. No hate to any of these girls. I just think the media and the fame has ruined a lot and has blinded us because I thought it was normal for girls to have friendships in a toxic way . The way they had friendships in this show. Is not healthy and very toxic environment.😢😢
