- Bishop Emeritus John Mahiaini was the first bishop of Mt Kenya Central. He was fronted by christians of the then newly established diocese. But when it came that he would be subjected to an election with another candidate, Bishop Mahiaini voluntarily gave up the position to the other contender.

I can say Bishop is my father I knew Bishop through my shosh when they were serving in Nakuru.He baptised me when I was 4yrs,they loved me kwa sababu ya kusaidia my old shosh.they helped my shosh to build the house,ambayo naishi even to day it was a surprise,hata Leo nawakumbuka na kuwapenda sana.kiatu yangu ya kwanza ya leather nilipewa na mum,infact it's a loving family hiyo ni kweli kabisa,they love serving God and people.God bless this family.

Waoh, this has made mu eyes tear, this couple are such an inspiration, they have served God's people, were my Bishop, they are so dear, have been lucky to visit St Anna's and get blessed in their home. Bishop is the one who wedded my parents 50 years ago and they have been friends since.

Challenge accepted for reading the bible. Our Priest told us the same, if you read 5 chapters in a bible it won't even take you an year before you finish. Am now reading new testament (philipians) having read the old testament. It nourishes my soul and mind everyday.
Esbon Gathogo was my rural dean. Bishop Mahiaini gave me my first holy communion. Holiness has kept them this young. My grandma was a strict follower of mother's union and their teachings.

Oh this is wonderful monica. Retired Bishop and mrs Mahiani were my parents friends and mentors when they were in Nakuru diocese although they were age mates and we used to love them dearly. Salute them for me Monica and may God give them long life. Watching from UK.

Kogoni, the last Bishop to recieve the "call to priesthood". Others are called by men. Bishop Mahia ini was my priest in Nakuru town where i went to school with his sons. May they live longer to serve mankind!!!
