I remember the inserts in the Chicago Tribune from Moo and Oink. I looked online and it looks as if they still have packaged meat products sold in various grocery stores.
I think I remember their commercials on the local stations. I made a comment some months back but revisited recently and abandoned Island Foods is still fully intact inside for now if you are ever in the Island Lake area. Very cool retro vibes
I remember one of their radio jingles back when i visited Chicago in 2003. It went. Moo and oink were everyday people, everyday we offer low prices, were just every dsy people. I think i have this commercial jingle on a sony mini disc. I recorded 8 hours of a jazz station called CD 1570 AM when i visited Chicago. Id love to have the electric power meter from this place. I have a lot of meters from Com Ed. Aka Commonwealth Edison. Great video.
So Moo and Oink is still open on the South side of Chicago. They are a staple out there. I use to drive past the one on 79th and Western when I lived on the Southside of Chicago.

That Moo and Oink commercial would scare my classmate when she was little. She told me about it back in my middle school days.

Funny thing is that I worked at that location shortly before they closed down and if the walls could talk in there. That’s all I’m gonna say 😆😆😆😆😆
Nice video. Stay safe.
