7:54 The AquaDom at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 3 in Berlin was the largest cylindrical aquarium in the world. From December 2003, the seawater aquarium was free-standing in the hall of the Radisson Collection Hotel in the CityQuartier DomAquarée. On December 16, 2022, the outer acrylic glass cylinder shattered. The acrylic glass container was 16 meters high, 11.5 meters in diameter and had a volume of around one million liters. Including the base, the structure was 25 meters high. In the aquarium, around 1,500 fish from over 100 species lived in salt water tempered at 26 °C.

2:57 'VAT' stands for _value added tax_ , it's like the 'goods and services tax' (GST) in other countries. it's slapped on every product by default yet some products enjoy a lower tax rate as this kind of tax is considered unfair for low income classes. essential products like food usually are taxed less and for some reason books fall in this category too in Germany but tampons do not.

10:00 The West at some point after the war started to implement new kinds of lighting, while the East stayed behind in terms of many improvements during their time as a "Soviet enclave". 11:00 The "Gesellenstück" i.e. the "journeyman exam piece" is the practical part of your exam at the end of your 3 to 3,5 years of your official apprenticeship as a carpenter/cabinet maker. You are mainly free to deside what kind of furniture you want to build, but you have a recommended time in which to finish (in my case it was 120 work hours if I remember correctly). 13:40 I'm not sure when the advance in technology really started but it became very apparent to the allies after the war when they found out what the Germans were actually working on, and luckily weren't able to bring to fruition in time. Jet aircraft, rockets, and the precurser to what you call a stealth bomber took the allies by surprise. They even worked on anti gravity technology back then. No wonder that more than 1000 scientists were moved over to the US ("Operation Paperclip") where they commenced their research and gave the US a huge leap forward in terms of military technology.

The formation of the emergency lane on any multi-lane road including the Autobahn is mandatory. If you ignore it there's a really, really good chance that ANY emergency vehicles will be driving down it relatively fast, but with dash cams active. So your license plate number will be forwarded to the cops who will send you your ticket plus fine.
Anyone blocking the emergency lane for any reason (except having a breakdown of their own vehicle) WILL receive a pretty painful fine plus an additional point in the central traffic violations register in Flensburg.
At seven points you will lose your driver's license permanently.
If your blocking of the emergency lane leads to a permanent preventable injury you will receive between three to five points on top, depending on the severity, right up to seven points if it caused a preventable death.
At three or more points in one go your driver's license will be suspended for at least a month. Running a red light without causing any endangerment or damage is also one point. Fairly high speeding tickets vary from 1 to 5 points in one go. Just for comparison.
Driving without a license is a CRIMINAL offense, not a civil offense. So you really, really don't want to lose your driver's license here.
After permanently losing your license you have to pass a medical psychological examination in front of a panel of three medical experts where you have to answer a LOT of very personal questions. If you do not answer these questions to their satisfaction you will not even be allowed to apply for a driving examination again, so you will not be able to legally drive again.
Mind you, the cost for all the driving education is huge; 2000€ is the minimum norm. Anyone coming in for remedial education will have to satisfy the examiners that they have actually learned and changed.
Just to clarify how important the formation of the emergency lane is in Germany and most of Europe.
Edit: the wheelchair swing has a rounded bottom inset into the ground, with platform level with the ground to roll onto.
Once you are on there is a suspended handle on a cable that hangs low enough for the occupant of the wheel chair to pull on. That sets them in motion.

You could react to some of the more advanced history channels and about the Holy Roman Empire (Germany but also its neighbours). Knowing the Holy Roman Empire is the masterclass of knowing European history (after the Greek and Western Roman Empire fell apart). It is also the most important part of European history. Central Europe was already before the Roman Empire the birthplace of some of the most important cultures: Proto-Germanic (Northern Germany), Proto-Celtic (Southern Germany/Austria), Proto-Slavic (Eastern regions of Germany) and Proto-Italic (Hungary, neighboring Austria, those Italic tribes moved later over the Alps to 'Italy', mixed with Etruscian and Greek culture and found the Roman Empire. The Latins were the most influential tribe at that time). The entire region was mostly back then as today the most populated hotspot in Europe. It is with its neighbors the most wealthy one. It has most castles, most cities, most traffic, most industry, most innovations and so on. It was after the split of the Germanic Frankish Empire (at first three parts but then basically two parts left, Western part (later kind of France) and the Middle and Eastern which became basically the Holy Roman Empire (Germany was the center but we are also talking about other members like the later Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Burgundy, Bohemia/Czech, Austria, Switzerland, Northern Italy etc. - AND focusing on Central Europe also makes the history of its Eastern neighbors (as well as to France and Spain, Greece, other parts of Europe etc.) much more understandable. The Holy Roman Empire had also the most important hotspots like cities from Brugge, Genth over through Germany (partly also Burgund) to North Italy.... the renaissance was mostly the result of the exchange of THIS route (first in the Northern part then in Italy and back). If we talk about the hotspot of Knight Armor industry then we talk for instance mostly about Southern Germany and Northern Italy (as some youtubers who talk bout such stuff often pointed out). The Hanseatic league was also an important interface. After the fall of the Frankish Empire the relation between the HRE, Rome/Pope/Catholic Church and the Byzantine Empire was also for not just political reasons the most relevant factor. And in the end of the day, the HRE is also due its diversity and complex structure, organization and the pure quantity the best rolemodel for every medieval MMORPG!

The Bible in the hotel thing is done by an organisation called the Gideons. Hotels across the world simply accept the Gideons’ gift of bibles for each of their rooms and put them in a drawer. It’s rare to find a hotel without one. If you want a free bible, you can probably nick one from a hotel - the hotel won’t have paid for it. I like the idea of the UN Declaration in the Bible’s stead.

1:31 Ironic considering the stance that the establishment is taking towards Palestine.
