Personal Home Address VS Virtual Address for a Home Business

- Is it ok to use your personal address for your home based business and use your home address on all of your business registration paperwork such as a business license, seller's permit, and more when you start an LLC or sole proprietorship or should you get a virtual address or a virtual office for your business instead of using your personal address? Using your personal home address to register your business is fine for some and not a good idea for others - it depends on if you have personal privacy and safety concerns with having your home address on public record.

I got a virtual address for my license after Ginny made a video about it last year. It is a great decision for me and anyone who valves privacy! Seriously, if you’ve ever dealt with stalkers or just don’t want anyone showing up at your house or workplace uninvited, you need a separate address!. The stalker was actually my former coach with boundary issues, and he would show up at my previous aworkplace, where my license was previously registered. I had to change jobs and move cities, for my safety. Ladies and even guys, do yourself a favor, get a separate address for your business!

How do US taxes know that you own an e-commerce LLC as a non-US resident?
I hope you'll see this question, Ginny. I have been absorbing your content and learning so much to help me organize my business. This one area has been difficult for me to find answers for:
If I have registered my business with a DBA/sole proprietor and I set up a virtual mailing address, will ALL my mail (business and personal) now be forwarded to the virtual mailing address, including amazon packages etc.? Does going through the notary process and transferring my mail mean there is no longer a separation between personal and business mail since I'm a sole proprietor?
This is my only reservation about setting up a virtual mailing address. I would like a way to keep a separation between my business and personal mail.
Mail is sent where you specify. Your Amazon orders and other online purchases ask for you to input your shipping address in the account. The only reason personal mail wouldn't be sent where you specified with that merchant would be if you filed a change of address/mail forwarding service with USPS.

Ok so my question is ..I have a DBA and an EIN and a virtual office so now I’m applying for a sellers permit and it ask my business is home based ..so do I put yes or no..I am doing it from home but I’m using virtual business office for address…ty

I'm reading that many banks and financial institutions will not accept virtual addresses. Do you have experience with this and have any idea of how to handle?
Financial institutions will have their own unique rules since they are private companies. You can try a different bank.

Can you change address after your llc is registered
Yes, your new address will be on the new statement of information. However old statement of informations are public record and also viewable with the old address.
