  • Yoshimura TRC Baffle (silencer) Installation/Removal
    Tips on how to remove/install the baffle.
    The baffle is extremely easy to install/remove, just be careful about the bolt not falling inside, that is its only difficult part.

    Very informative video. Thanks for showing the difference in sounds. I will be definitely putting my db killer in.

    A magnet would work to retrieve the bolt as well. I dropped mine in my exhaust and there was no way to reach it so I used a magnetic on the outside

    Did you tune the carb/jetting for installing aftermarket muffler like this?

  • @RapidRedRider

    On my akro the set screw is on the side and it DOES drop all the way down into the “skin” and you have to get it out like a guitar pick if you know what I mean lol

    Great video theinternetguy100. Sounds great. I have a question. I just installed this type of pipes on my zx14r. The inner hole has a piece of metal covering the inner hole. Did you just knock it out or how did you get it out? Thanks again.

      @theinternetguy100  Před 8 lety +1

      +Jim Bailey Yea you have to knock it out, then you'll be able to secure the silencer with the screw.

      I worked out that if you feed the screw from the inside the sleeve you don't have to cut or knock out that metal piece and can make for a quick release sleeve as I didn't want to have to make a hole cause I didn't want the heat or anything to affect the rubber bung and cause I like the deep rumble didn't want to leave in all the time so when I come home at 1-2am I don't annoy anyone and only takes 20sec to install

    My exhaust doesn’t have the rubber grommet or the screw..

      Mine has neither. But looking behind the carbon endcap i can see a bolt. It's in the same place as here on the video. No hole/cap though... Should i drill a hole there?

    Whats the difference between trc and r77? And does the crooked baffle reduce the sound more?

    • @Mattschindig
      @Mattschindig Před 5 lety +2

      TRC is a bit louder, deep. R77 isn't as loud, but has more of that F1 sound. I had a full TRC on my 09 gsxr 750 and it sounded good, but went with the full R77 on my 17 gsxr 750 and I like the R77 more.

    • @theinternetguy100
      @theinternetguy100  Před 5 lety

      doug DouglasB where did you get it? It should have come with it if you bought it new. It quiets the sound.

  • @fantomg100
    @fantomg100 Před 7 lety +4

    why silencer yoshi exhaust is too quiet anyways

    • @theinternetguy100
      @theinternetguy100  Před 7 lety +4

      For this bike, sold now, I thought it was a little too loud, or obnoxious without it. With it being a two cylinder bike I though the pitch was a little to harsh. I ride a 600 now, with a yoshimura and no silencer in it. With that 600 being four cylinder I find the sound much more smooth. I chose yoshimura because it is one of the quieter exhausts out there and won't drone on you when riding for extended periods of time. I wanted an exhaust louder than stock, but not annoyingly loud.

      theinternetguy100 are you sure it’s not a torx key?

    • @agonz__
      @agonz__ Před 4 lety

      theinternetguy100 no they’re not. A hex and a Allen key are the same, a torx has the same shape as a hex/Allen but it has a hole instead of being flat

    The YOSH insert is a BITCH to get in, and even WORSE to try and get back out. You are extremely lucky yours was that easy.

    • @theinternetguy100
      @theinternetguy100  Před 7 lety

      mem5922 explain how it was difficult to get out. The only bad part I had was when the screw fell inside.
