- How to Kitchener Stitch Toe Without Ears. This is a neat little trick for omitting the ears on a kitchener stitch toe. Great for afterthought heels too. This is demonstrated using the Continental Knitting method.

I am here again. I watch this video every time I need to Kitchener!
Welcome back!
I wonder if this woman knows how five years after making this video it's still helping newbies like me. I love her teaching technique: slow, clear, great.
I will never not see pearls as smiles and frowns now.
Wow, thank you!
@@SuzanneBryan yup smiles and frowns. best description ever.
8 years and counting!
I first saw this video 6 years ago and looked at it again tonight because I thought maybe I was doing the order of the kitchener incorrectly and wanted to be sure. This is one of the best knitting channels by far. Her instructions are very clear.
I'm with you girl, she's absolutely the best!
Oh it's so much less confusing this way! This is the best kitchener stotch and sock weave end demonstration and explanation i have seen so far and also my first ever youtube comment (who would have thought itd be on a knitting tutorial...)
Wow, thank you! 🧶
❤ I agree. Thank you
I also agree. Well done!
This is by far the best tutorial I have ever found that explains the kitchener stitch so clearly! Thank You!!
This is the best demonstration of kitchener stitch I have ever seen. I followed it, and the toe of my sock actully looks decent.
Wonderful!
Thank you so much for this very helpful clip, I have lost count of the number of times I have come back to it for revision!
You're very welcome!
I keep coming back to this one whenever I am finishing a sock or a hoodie. Thank you so much
You are so welcome, Uta! Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Thank you so much for posting this very clear video. I’ve no idea how many times I have done this but my 82 year old brain just went BLANK this morning.
this clip was a godsend thankyou - even after 61 pairs of socks I still refresh my memory with it !
I absolutely adore this tutorial. I am a Kitchener Klutz and will probably always be, but this video produces a 90% reduction in my Kitchener Stress. My blood pressure is so very grateful to you. And yes, for quite some time now I watch this video every sock I finish.
What a lovely thing to say, Cate, thank you! And way to be brave and put yourself out there to improve your skills! ❤️
I watch it also when I am ready to sew the toe of my socks. I have it saved so it is easy to find. It is a nice perfectly paced video tutorial.
I always come back to this video when I need to do the kitchener graft! I end up getting my knits and purls all mixed up lol xx
I'm binding off on a mitten (at finger tips). I've ripped it out probably 10 times..until this video!
Many thanks for this very clear demonstration of Kitchener stitch without the ears. I have always struggled with this when making socks and still have to adjust the tension of the stitches when completed, but the traditional beginning and ending have always bothered me. This is so much cleaner - and just simpler.
You are so welcome, Pam! I appreciate your very kind feedback! 😊
Best instructions ever for the Kitchener stitch. Thank you for your wonderful instructions. Very easy to understand.
You're so welcome, Kay! Thanks for commenting! 😊
I've never seen a video on weaving in ends and finishing stitches like this, thank you so much for taking the time to show the whole end process and not just the stitch itself.
You are so welcome!
Süpersiniz, teşekkürleeeer🤲🤲🤲🤲🤲🌺🌹🌸
excellent! The best tutorial on youtube for the Kitchener stitch. Very clear instructions. Suzanne explains every step, shows where the yarn is coming out. I had no idea that you keep the yarn under the needles! Alot of other tutorials gloss over some important steps. Thank you!
I always skipped the set up at the beginning but no one ever showed how to do the last 2 stitches.. I love how yours finishes up. Thank you for making it so easy to see..
+mysteryglo Thanks for watching and commenting. Let me know how it works for you.
This is the best kitchener stitch instruction I have ever had after years of knitting. Thank-you. This is now my gold standard. Good-bye dog ears. Sad I did not find this earlier.
The BEST Kitchener explanation!! Thank you!!
You are so welcome, Galia, I'm glad the video was helpful! ❤️
This is THE BEST video. I watch it every time I need to kitchener. I’m a reasonably experienced knitter, but this stitch always trips me up. This video makes it so simple.
Wow, thank you, Kathryn, that's a lovely thing to say and much appreciated! ❤️
I would say you are voted the best teacher EVER......Thank you....
😀
@SuzanneBryan I have knit sock after sock and I turn again and again to this video. Not because I forget this ideal result you teach so well, but because I love the feeing you are sitting at my side to guide me once again to sock toe perfection. You are a master knitter, teacher and guardian angel all at once. Thank you YET AGAIN for your tutelage which truly lasts a lifetime!
Thank you Suzanne!! You are so good at this. You are always my go-to expert when I need to check something.
Thank you so much I was in school and I didn’t get to finish my my last sock and now I have and I’m so grateful that this video is up so thank you so much:)
You’re welcome 😊
I swear CZcams can read my mind because today I finished a sock and noticed it had annoying little corners on the toe because of my kitchener stitch, and then this video got suggested to me! This is so helpful! I always thought you HAD to do those first "set up stitches", but those are what were causing the bulk! Thank you!
Yay, I love hearing this, Tadpole! ❤️ You are very welcome, I'm glad it was helpful
I always forget how to do this stitch and when I first started I watched a bunch of different how tos before coming across this one. It has become my go to before I start the Kitchener stitch. Thank you so much for this quick and easy explanation! ❤
Suzanne, how wonderful to know your little tip! Love the clarity of your videos.
amarasharon Thank you so much! Glad you like the videos.
After years of doing the Kitchener stitch with great difficulty, I feel as if a cloud has been lifted! NOW I understand the technique!! Thanks so much for simplifying this!
What a lovely idea with leaving out doing the last two stitches! These socks (without ears!) are now ready for gifting to my nephew
The clearest Kitchener I’ve watched. Thanks so much from a sock newbie! ❤
The best demonstration of the Kitchener stitch, Thank-you 😊
Wow, thank you! Happy New Year!

You can do it!
Best Kitchener stitch video out there!! I'm a fairly new knitter (about 6 months) and I'm finishing my first sock. I've heard horror stories about the Kitchener. You made it so easy to understand I went right through the first time no problem. Kept repeating your mantra and away I went!! It looks beautiful! Thank you so much for the video!!
