Can shouting music terms at non-musical people be an insult?

As an italian, it's so weird to me that classical musicians all over the world have to memorize these words to know how to play lmao
I'm thankful I just know what they mean even without anyone teaching me
Play some lebhaft, bewegt, fließend, leidenschaftlich, Leitmotiv, Leitton, Umdeutung, ... *laughs in German*
I've honestly been curious though, I'm not an Italian/French/Spanish and sometimes I wonder if these words are idioms or regular words used in daily conversation. Glad I know it from your comment :)
@@Andrea-hc4kz Actually yeah, we use most of them in our daily conversations, not all the words tho
I know Spanish so some of the words, like andante and allegro, make sense to me and I don’t have to just memorize them.
@@Andrea-hc4kz Most of them find use in every day conversations and writings, with more or less frequency, because they are part of the regular lexicon but lent to music, not the other way around

I just started playing violin and viola at 52 yrs old. My 8 yr old step son and I watch you together. Thanks for keeping it interesting and as PG as you can. He Loves Vivaldi. Appreciate You Both!
Love that.
Violin AND viola?! Well one thing about learning both of those instruments is that playing is the same, the hardest part is reading the music since they’re both different staffs. Trying to program your brain to know when to switch from treble to alto will probably be most challenging.
Luna Star especially at my age. 52 may not be that old but it’s challenging to learn these instruments at the same time for the exact reason you stated. It gets my fingers twisted a few times. 😝😂Thanks very much for tour time.
Brian this is so nice. I can relate. I started viola at the same time my son started violin. Twisting my head around playing viola from his treble clef books can be hilarious.

Well mission accomplished guys, I'd never really given much classical music a chance before I got into your channel. Now I see the brilliance and beauty of it!
You've helped me expand my musical horizons and I thank you for it! :)
I wish theres a text explanation on what the terms mean and it was revealed after so we(non musical audience) can all take part in some form of the game. 😁
Also looking back, pretty sure I learned some of these words in hs but only the dictionary meaning. I wish it was taught to us audibly (to somewhat recognize/understand it by ear).
I don't mean to be rude, but pretty sure there's sth on the internet... I learned by playing, tho. Not sure about how easily you can memorize the terms as a English speaker
Also, I guess their playing is the best "dictionary" ...

Hey Brett and Eddy
I just want to thank you guys for being so entertaining, and at some times emotional. Last year, when I was having my summer holidays, my cousin came over. She said that she played the violin and after knowing that I did too, she showed me your channel. You guys are weirdly entertaining. Then I started school and discovered that almost EVERYBODY in my music class knows you guys. But that's not all.
Then yesterday, a friend who's very good at piano says to me, "Hey, you know what, I saw a channel that's very interesting and it inspired me to practice." And without thinking, I said "I know. It's TwoSet Violin." She was very shocked that I knew you guys as well. Well, that's because you are very interesting! I feel like saying that you're committed to music or talented is an UNDERstatement.
I said to that piano friend "They love to roast viola. But they can't do that without being skillful themselves." And that's the point. You've let us see the INTERESTING side of music through humor. And thank you for that, from all my musical friends. Oh, by the way, one of my friends who loves your videos is the Concert Master in my school's orchestra, so what you talk about in HOW TO NOT BE A CONCERTMASTER might've gotten to him.
This actually helped a lot please do more of these

Wow did you guys pre-film all these videos while y'all are on tour? Such bosses :o
I noticed how they do it. Like the movie reviews, they do 3 reviews in 1 sitting and just split them in 3 uploads. You'll notice they're wearing the same clothes and it just looks like they filmed it on the same day. So im thinking they make multiple videos in a day like charades so on. Its actually impressive, like material for the concerts and vids for youtube and so on. Must have a packed schedule lol.
I think they answered this in the Q&A, I can’t remember...
But anyway, at the time they said that Eddy and Brett actually live in different towns so they meet up every so often and record all the vids then.

I’m turning 32 this December, but watching your videos encouraged me to pick up my elementary violin (fortunately it’s a 4/4) after two decades. I got it restrung, a new bridge, new bow; and I’ve been practicing since July. I feel good with my progress. I’m lucky neighbors can’t hear me through the apartment walls (I asked). I’ve run out of printer ink while printing sheet music and scales.
I’ve also learned my violin is likely at least as old as I am. It only has a [Made in Western Germany] label inside. It feels like meeting with an old friend.
I've learned more stuff watching your videos than at school... I love this

For every person not italian : " Is LEGGERO isn't LEGGIERO"
Vittoria Ottino i know french is quite particular when it comes the prononciation of R. Is it the same in italian or do you say them the same way as in english or do you rrrroll the R? I've been wondering for quite some time
