CURE FOR CORONA VIRUS BLUES SERVICE YOUR 2019 6 7L POWERSTROKE TRUCK - Auta a dopravní prostředky
“6.4....who cares” lol love that
Alex Landers had the same thought haha
As a new 6.7 owner, your videos have been a big help. I appreciate it!
This is exactly what I’m doing to my 6.7 right now, and using Arch Oil. I came here for Bills excellent advice, as always.
Bill trying to set the mood of “dark times to come” by keeping the lights off.
Another great video, Bill! Hope Mikey, Pascal, you and all the other folks at your shop stay safe and healthy!
A lot of people hate on new stuff and it's complexity, but I love that fuel filter setup, how awesome!
Thanks for another great video, Bill. Been running archoil in my fuel and I change my filters at 15k.
Joe is like a farmer, out standing in his field.
Thanks bill! Just bought a 6.7!
I use archoil in my truck and all of my equipment. I have even noticed better fuel economy in my gas truck.
When you started going over the oils by engine i was wondering what you would say for the 6.4, Bill you did not disappoint.
I catch a oil sample when I service mine and send it to OAL, this is a great way to see what's going on inside the engine.
I love the videos of the newer stuff. I have a 2019 with 86,000 miles on it. I’m curious to see how long it’s gonna last.
Bill - Thank you so much for your helpful videos! My 6.4 really got its feelings hurt. =-)
The 6.4 gets a hard pass 😄
Alright Bill, I bought the whole kit of Archoil additives and will use them. I stumbled across your videos/website while researching if I really want to delete the emission system. I don't but damn I'm on the fence about it.. (2019/6.7/ F250/KR Fx4) So I'm going to keep it and use your additives but if this engine fails on me, I'll pay you for the rebuild but your going to have to lose some parts for me, lol - Thx
Bill is that a 6.4 I saw in the background? Looked like a 450 to me..BIll you changed my life in regard to these truck. Been watching you for years. Cuz of you I can do the correct procedures in regard to servicing these vehicles..i truly think of you take care.of a 6.4 from its inception you will have a good vehicle. Just like a 6.0. Bill stay safe and the rest of your crew you guys are the best.
Thank you Bill !!!
great advice!
11:55 get a Bosch you’ll never kill it. I have a Bosch drill that I used for years at work drilling studs, joists etc. and I still use it to this day with no smell like it’s burning up.
Love your attitude
Bill talking about DEF do you recommend using only Ford def fluid or any?
What coolant additive tester do you recommend. I recently had water pump go out in 2016 6.7 that was covered under warranty under 50k miles. Already getting check coolant additive message.
Hey Bill how does that stuff work in a 2019 F250 6.7 The arch oil
Have a question about a 97 7.3 powerstroke you start the truck and it runs fine but once you put it in gear and start to move it bogs it idles fine and runs fine in higher RPMs but mid-range no power
Been working on my stuff. But I have a dodge that doesn’t break as easily
I’m a 2018 6.7 f350 owner in Australia and I’ve been getting told not to put archoil 9100 in on my oil change ? About to go for 20,000 km oil change and bought the archoil so by what you say it is ok to put in oil ?
Ok I got a question Mr diesel! 6.0 engine set for 3 years without driving... I know that's not good but I cranked it up and drive it bout a week! Injector went out. Now it getting a new piston and injector!. My question is did setting up for so long cause injector to go out?
I have a 2014 F250 6.7 with about 93,000 miles and less than 300 hrs of idle. My question is should I have the EGR cooler changed out and the exhaust changed out to get rid of all the possible regen soot that did not burn? Rather than wait for a problem with things stopping up, is this advisable and would I be good for another 100K?
My windshield wiper fluid container is about the size of a hotdog....does Ford have a larger one I can install??
I’m looking at 13 6.7l 110k miles very well maintained from Ford. Anything I should be cautious about?
After i change to Valvoline oil, in my 7.3 powerstroke.... Its runs soo mutch better, runs smooth. No jumping anymore when i drive.
@powerstrokehelp you always say archoil is a must in the engine but didn't add it to this one and at the end only said run archoil in the fuel. So archoil isn't needed in the oil???
I am trying to change the fuel filters in my 2018 F250 6.7 / Any idea why the lower filter will not stop draining? I drained almost 5 gallons out before I just closed the valve and walked away.
Are the amsoil filters good enough to use instead of motorcraft?
does that archoil help the 7.3 to?
I run the T6 in my 7.3. She burns about 1qt every 5000 miles of towing, so, not too worried there!
Dear Bill. With this virus crap going on, my 7.3 is getting about 4 weeks to the gallon right now. When I do go to the store I try to run the piss out of it. It cant be good to just let it sit. Should I let it idle every couple days?
Hard plastic bed liner would fix the hole problem.
CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO READING THE DIPSTICK I HAVE SUCH A HARD TIME FIGURING OUT OUT WERE TO PROPERLY HAVE IT I USED TO USE 14QT BUT THEN MY HEAD GASKETS STARTED TO LEAK MY MECHANIC ADVICED USE THE 13 FORD SAYS AND HONESTLY NO MORE LEAK THT BEEN FOR THE PAT 80K MILES
I need some advise from the 6.0L diesel experts.....Im looking at a 04 F350 but it has 500K on it. Eng rebuilt but no paper work :( EGR delete, turbo back exhaust. What do I need to look for on a test drive? I like the truck, cosmetically its great. Im just worried about the mileage. Im gonna just use it as a truck to drive around town, go to work, occasionally pull my 2200lb race car on a 16ft utility trailer or other light work a 1/2t can handle. Im trading a car for this truck.
What do you think of the new 2020 6.7.
Hi, Bill long time subscriber....wanted to pick your mind about a cold start issue that has been haunting my 7.3 (315k miles). it runs amazing once it starts but cold starts have been constant even when it's 50/60 out, it will just crank and act like it wants to start but puffs white smoke after about 3-4 tries of 30 sec cranks it will start and run rough for about 90sec then clean up and run fine.....I've run archoil in the motor and fuel for almost 3 mo now, done glow plugs and relay because it had a delay lol. clean fuel filter ( have not checked the in-tank screens yet.
I have no check engine light but it has come on once or twice in the last week while towing but boost levels were around 24psi and it went away after about 5 mins of normal driving so I assumed it was an over-boost condition, water in fuel light has come on a few times but I've bled the bowl every time and no water was present. all injectors appear to be good ( have not done a buzz test though)they have been shimed. I'm getting ready to do injector cups as recently I noticed the coolant fouled with fuel. any input to give me some direction would be much appreciated! thanks for all your knowledge and videos....sorry for the long post.
Put some new injectors in. My truck was exact same with 370k miles and injectors “seemed” fine and ran great but once I put in a set or rebuilt injectors in (only about $1,200) and it starts like brand new again! Best thing I’ve EVER done to it by far
Now what if you use 15w40 motorcraft oil for you 6.0?
Man you need some lights in your shop
ran t6 in my 7.3 ..... it never burned it? always started at -25c just with glow plugs ...... t6 is good stuff!
it doesnt get that cold in the south where bill is so it isnt necessary to have t6 which is way more expensive lol
Damn Joe be using that brake cleaner like an air hose
Hey, I have excessive coolant pressure in my truck 04 f350, 6.0L and I’m curious if it’s headgaskets or EGR cooler that’s bad. The oil is normal colour and doesn’t look like chocolate milk. And I’m running it with the cap on but not enough to build pressure to avoid it from leaking. I was hoping you could help me out with helpful information?
Head gaskets, egr cooler will smoke out the exhaust system.
We still ice fishing in interior Alaska.
You need some shop lights. I bought 8ft led fixtures for both of my shops. They are cheap and incredibly bright. I have over 50 of them between the two shops and I’ll never use them again.
Words to live by 2:25
Bill is the man
They specify not to prefill oil filters, I always do. Even on my 6.7, but they do specifically say not too, so does CAT and a few others.
Can't keep a working man home, LOL 😂, details, love it
RT6 or Amsoil maxduty Are they equal ?
am a big fan of archoil....this stuff keep my old 00 dinosor 7.3 powerstroke on the road.....its a tank loll
What about Mobil 1 5w40??
All right. All right. Favorite expression of a Georgia friend of mine. Something in the water???
Any help with a 2001 7.3 start on crank quite a bit on smoke?? Help
Glow plugs bad or glow plug relay?
I'm keeping my 7.3 FOREVER.
Bill your always saying to use ford and motor craft parts and i definitely agree. But question why not using the ford oil also? 🤔
Motorcraft is good oil but their are better alternatives:
Amsoil ADN 10W30 diesel oil
Rotella T5 10W30 diesel oil
Rotella T6 5W40
So we can use T6 in these 6.7’s? I’ve been using motor raft 10w30 since I got it.
The manual actually says 10w30 OR 5W40. The 10W30 is only good down to 0*F (according to the chart in the Cap. and Spec. section of the manual) whereas 5W-40 is good down to -20*F. They also say elsewhere (near the Engine Oil Check section of the manual) that the 5W-40 is recommended for "Severe Service Operation". I generally don't trust links posted in places like this, but here is the link to the online manual for the 2019 (www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/2019-Ford-F-250_350_450_550-owners-manual-version-1_om_EN-US_05_2018.pdf). Or just google "2019 Ford Super Duty manual".
How does that archoil work in the 6.7? I read something online where archoil released a statement pretty much saying it is useless in the 6.7
No way any additional lubricity can only be a good thing
Any more trucks for sale??
10:30 if I’m not mistaken aren’t you not supposed to use petroleum products on gaskets? I assume this gasket is safe for this since it’s in the fuel but in most cases this would eat the rubber.
FishFind3000 Diesel fuel is a petroleum product so why would a little grease hurt it?
Hey Bill, you said you’d advise against running Shell T6 in a 7.3 cause it’ll burn? Could you elaborate on that, I have a ‘00 7.3 and I’m currently running T6.. what do you think
Great question hope he answers. I have an 2000 7.3 and I switched to T6 3 years ago with arch oil and no more stitcktion, runs so much better. Only driven it around 5000 miles but I have noticed some usage. Wondering if I should go back to T4?
I’ve definitely noticed it burning more with t6. I switched because of the colder climate. I’m definitely second guessing my decision.
Don't the manufactures know that the oil companies had to take out the sulphur or reduce it drastically, so they had to design the fuel system around that to keep it working with out having to use other products? I'm not saying that stuff doesn't work but I think all vehicles will work with out it too?
I've been changing the fuel filter in my 99 7.3 every other time i change the oil. Is that too often, or not often enough?
i have been doing that with my 7.3L....it's more often than recommended...better safe than sorry.
Filters are cheap as is oil compared to the injectors or worse..... I change all mine way b4 what ford says.
How do you cycle the fuel pump on a push to start?
Push the button twice WITHOUT pressing the brake.
The 6.4 is the COVID-19 version of the Power Stroke V8 diesels.
Disconnect fuel inlet first and it will drain extremely fast, it is siphoning fuel from the fuel tank. Give it a try and send me some swag if you appreciate the info. Roll on!!!
Holy crap they have ABUSED that bed.
Also...
E A S Y M O N E Y
I'd be like Bill.......I'd be livid with a hole in my bed and only 24,000 miles!
Good ole working trucks.... Bummer on the holes... SMH on the aluminum design.
What all has developed wrong with the 6.4 that has caused such opinion . I have never owned a 6.4 and no knowledge of their issues . Very curious about issues .
Ford plastic bedliners will save that bed.
6.4 who cares trade it in lol love that comment
I didn't know diesel fuel was that color hahaha
You funny Bill used to say the 6.0 was a piece of crap new are setting the 6.4 is I have a 2010 6.4 with the delete HS system on it it runs great change the oil maintain it. PM is the biggest thing that people do not do. I've had the 7.3 1993, 2000.
now I have 2010 6.4 and I have a 2016 6.7 and I run the Rotella T6 in both of them.
How do you bleed the fuel system on a truck with push button start?
Push the button but dont step on brake pedal and it won't crank.
jonzie1228 Push the button without your foot on the brake.
jonzie1228 Don’t put your foot on the brake. Truck won’t start if your foot isn’t on the brake.
Push the button without hitting the brake
Push the push to start button without touching the brake pedal or use a scan tool
My field training officer looks and sounds just like Bill from power stroke help.com
24k premature for fuel filters? i thought ford calls for 15k on these trucks?
also...linex is DEFINITELY the solution for the aluminum beds.
I have put Chevron Delo 15-40 thru my 7.3L for the last 240K miles...no issues.
Same, you dont need fancy expensive oil, we use the same stuff in our 6.0, and all our tractors and cummins trucks and everything. We also use napa filters on everything, never had any problems
Keep in mind this is a newer 6.7 the older ones have a spin on style
Changing filters ought to be easier on the older 6.7s. Top filter is the same if I recall.
yup, waiting for that free money! Gotta love how all of a sudden everybody loves socialism ;)
The rich people LOVE socialism for the rich but rugged individualism for all the rest of us
True 💯
2:25 Lol
Bro damn you got the OG "T J" username.... Ive been called TJ for 28 years now. Wish I could've gotten that username.
holy fuck my duramax with 375k kms on it the bed doesnt look nearly that messed up, and im not nice to hear, since ive got a new rust free one in the shop.
Priming the oil filter?
Ummmm Ford manual says oil and filter replace should take 13 not 15 quarts
No disrespect just wanna make sure which is correct on oil level. Also how come you don’t use motorcraft def with there nozzle
Justin Taylor it’s 13 quarts (12.3L expect F750 they are 15quarts which is probably why there’s is a mixup
Likes where at 666 so I threw one in, god bless!
Omg he used the whole dammn can of break cleaner hahahahaha
Gotta get all the doo-doo outta there! 😊
ASMR for diesel gear heads.
Mobil delvac 1 ftw
"DPFs are good for the enviroment" yet the fluid comes in a big plastic container and a cardboard box. Genius.
I'm all for the enviroment, but any station that wants to sell diesel should be mandated to also have a DEF pump
I don't care what you drive, my daily is a Fusion, use factory Ford fluids and filters. If it was good enough to come from the factory with it, it's good enough to leave my driveway with it.
Drives me nuts we are "saving the enviroment" using that DEF shit. But it comes in a plastic container that just goes right into the trash can next to the pump. Not even recycled.
" 6.4,,,,,,who cares,,,,,,just trade that piece of crap in",,,,,,,LOL Bill ya got me rollin on the floor,,,,
I've always liked you until you said not to use napa filters. Smh
tRump isn't sending that check....Congress is.
Trump initiated it
