I don't but damn I'm on the fence about it.. (2019/6.7/ F250/KR Fx4) So I'm going to keep it and use your additives but if this engine fails on me, I'll pay you for the rebuild but your going to have to lose some parts for me, lol - Thx

    Hi, Bill long time subscriber....wanted to pick your mind about a cold start issue that has been haunting my 7.3 (315k miles). it runs amazing once it starts but cold starts have been constant even when it's 50/60 out, it will just crank and act like it wants to start but puffs white smoke after about 3-4 tries of 30 sec cranks it will start and run rough for about 90sec then clean up and run fine.....I've run archoil in the motor and fuel for almost 3 mo now, done glow plugs and relay because it had a delay lol. clean fuel filter ( have not checked the in-tank screens yet.
    I have no check engine light but it has come on once or twice in the last week while towing but boost levels were around 24psi and it went away after about 5 mins of normal driving so I assumed it was an over-boost condition, water in fuel light has come on a few times but I've bled the bowl every time and no water was present. all injectors appear to be good ( have not done a buzz test though)they have been shimed. I'm getting ready to do injector cups as recently I noticed the coolant fouled with fuel. any input to give me some direction would be much appreciated! thanks for all your knowledge and videos....sorry for the long post.

      Rotella T6 5W40

  • @AndrewTheisintegrated

    • @goliteyourworld6
      @goliteyourworld6 Před 3 lety

      The manual actually says 10w30 OR 5W40. The 10W30 is only good down to 0*F (according to the chart in the Cap. and Spec. section of the manual) whereas 5W-40 is good down to -20*F. They also say elsewhere (near the Engine Oil Check section of the manual) that the 5W-40 is recommended for "Severe Service Operation". I generally don't trust links posted in places like this, but here is the link to the online manual for the 2019 (www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/2019-Ford-F-250_350_450_550-owners-manual-version-1_om_EN-US_05_2018.pdf). Or just google "2019 Ford Super Duty manual".

    Don't the manufactures know that the oil companies had to take out the sulphur or reduce it drastically, so they had to design the fuel system around that to keep it working with out having to use other products? I'm not saying that stuff doesn't work but I think all vehicles will work with out it too?

    "DPFs are good for the enviroment" yet the fluid comes in a big plastic container and a cardboard box. Genius.

      I'm all for the enviroment, but any station that wants to sell diesel should be mandated to also have a DEF pump

    I don't care what you drive, my daily is a Fusion, use factory Ford fluids and filters. If it was good enough to come from the factory with it, it's good enough to leave my driveway with it.

    Drives me nuts we are "saving the enviroment" using that DEF shit. But it comes in a plastic container that just goes right into the trash can next to the pump. Not even recycled.
