  • Here I am installing the new Lasfit LED Headlights in my 2020 Kia Telluride. Everything has worked great so far for the headlights. Keep in mind once you get them installed you may want to rotate them at night time in order to set them exactly how you want. Items will be linked below under the TELLURIDE link.

    Hi Tony, thanks for your amazing video, I would like to ask you if you had experienced any hyperflashing with this type of led? Thanks in advance

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  Před rokem

      They actually stopped selling this as a blinker for the telluride bc of the hyper flashing. They said they were working on a new one but have yet to see that. I started to get hyper flashing after a couple of days. Then after about a week of it doing that, I was about to get rid of them and they just started working properly. So I would love to say this is still a product I highly suggest but unfortunately I don't want others to deal with the same possible issues. I need to do an update on this video actually so thank you for the reminder. They make amazing lights for sure but as far as this specific application they realized the issue and removed it as an option for the telluride.

      Thank you glad you enjoyed and found it helpful. Sounds like your projector housing door isn't activating. With these it's just a little door that covers up some of the light exiting the lense. When you turn on brights it moves the door to let all the light through. I would take it to dealer.

    Do these led headlights flicker after a auto stop and start? Also, can the lights come or be turned on when the engine is not running or in ignition mode? Are they both low and high beam? What’s the item or product number?

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  Před 3 lety +1

      No they do not flicker. Yes the lights can be turned on any time your original headlights could be turned on. Changing the headlights is not going to change the operation. It is a projection style headlight assembly so yes the bulb is both low and high beam. The is the lastfit LA PLUS you can either find it in the description next to telluride or check out the lastfit website.

    • @davidh5950
      @davidh5950 Před 2 lety +1

      LEDs run cooler than halogen bulbs. If you are in a colder climate with these bulbs your headlight housing will likely not melt the ice on it. You are better off with halogen or hid

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  Před 2 lety +3

      LEDs run cooler if properly engineered but alot of cheaper lights will stack multiple LEDs with insufficient heat dissipation. And with LEDs being more directional then they can cause hot spots on headlight housings. That's why it's still important to find quality led lights and ones with actual engineering behind them so you know the leds have a directional purpose as well as proper cooling.

    does this headlight LED work both as high beam or low beam as normal car operation?

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  Před 3 lety +1

      Ya it operates the same as the standard projection headlight. The bulb is on and on low it has a door that covers the top half of the light. When you switch to bright it lifts that door and allows all the light out

    So I put these bulbs in my girlfriends telluride they work on low beam but don’t change when switched to high beam and idea ?

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  Před 2 lety

      Well it's not the bulb. In the telluride they use a projector style headlight so the bulb is always on 100% brightness. The headlight assembly just has a lens that covers the top 30% of the light coming through the projector. Then when the brights are activated all it does is move the cover out of the way allowing all of the light to pass through the lens. So either that isn't working or you have the bulbs aimed to low which would just allow all of the light through all the time. Try rotating the bulb while pointing them at the wall and make sure you can see that clear cut off line of the light on the wall
