nice. I've been in texas for 8 years now, after growing up in alaska. I can finally be wearing a sweater, check my mail in 85 degrees, and not even notice the heat lol
I had Heat Exhaustion in 2000, & it has made me susceptible to Heat Stroke. I'm 73, I watch how long I'm out & carry my umbrella. It's good for sun & rain!

We here even in Maryland, have been having tornadoes here, we can never remember having that weather here.
We only watch Max, from now on, when he told us to go to basement because there was a tornado very close to us in our county!

I live in west mi… by lake mi in the middle of the lower peninsula and the storms here are crazy now….ive lived here 62 yrs….my son who lives around Kalamazoo in lower Michigan watched an EF 3 cross I 94 a half mile away…and that was just ONE of the tornados that area saw in may.. .so I can relate to your comment! In my area we have had thunderstorms here that leave ef 1 damage over big areas….im glad we have a basement becits just going to get worse. And some thing climate issues are made up….no they are not.
These high temps not only effect people…I always think of the animals…the wildlife and the farm animals that dont have air conditioning and I have to say I just get pissed off when the right wingers deny fossil fuel related climate issues…….

At least we are getting a little bit of showers in NE Ohio. But not nearly enough! Had to pull up my garden. It was burnt up. That’s even with me watering it. I welcome ANY moisture God sends out way. But, anyway, I love Ohio!!

This is ok. Here in Ks. last years crops werexa near disaster. This year, we just had a pretty good wheat crop. Our corn is lookin really good. Our beans are lookin pretty good. We dont need 100mph winds, and bowlingball sized hail. Not this late in the game. We just dont need that crap now.

This is starting to getting active, and more severe weather is likely for the northern plains, the Midwest and the Ohio Valley, the threats are tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail, and record breaking high temperatures is possible

@PoggerMilk Noooo.. I can't take anymore. We had tornado in Livonia , Microburst Southfield/Beverly hills that tore up the area and 4 to 6 inches of rain the other day. It's every week ! Oakland County is getting hammered . Looks like Tstorms today?

Where do these weather forecasters come up with these hyperbolic terms for weather. Do they sit in a back room with a thesaurus.
My favorite is the PDS warning, "Particularly Dangerous Situation," for when tornadoes are likely in the ground. Yep, I'd call it that, but it sure sounds funny as a category meteorologists use in the field.

It's not bad enough that we still have most of our town still underwater, but we can expect more with the possibility of a tornado or two, warmer and cooler weather.
