The last Euripean trophy to come to Scotland was 39 years ago.... I AM 38 and never seen a Scottish club list a Eurooean trophy. Those fans who are 20 and younger will think it's just the Norm fit Scottish teams... They wont remember it know that our clubs could compete once when our leagues were run properly.
The biggest mistakes our leaders made were reducing our leagues to 10/12 and in 94 following the rest of Europe into using 3 points for a win.
We can even add as just a big mistake is the rest of Scotland and SPL, SFA allowing Rangers and Celtic to make the rules up of the league.
Our game has needed a complete upgrade for decades.

All these little new ideas that Neil Doncaster keeps try to implement are not NEW ideas, he is using ideas from our games leaders back in the 40's and 50's. B team's in the men's league, great idea and a win-win for all in Scotland but many clubs are against them, why? Because they are bitter and would rather sabotage Scottish football than help it.
Group stages in the league cup... Again NOT a new idea, the League cup was once Group stage then 2-leg knockout rounds... Again a great format that would really help Scottish football in so many ways including financially but we cannot do it right now because our league is 38 games long with a Winter break in the middle.
Scottish football CAN be better and our teams CAN be stronger but to reach that potential, all the clubs need to put aside petty rivalry, snobbery, some of them it's greed for just £2million a season and they don't want to share in an Expanded Prem for instance, ignorance and down right cruelty.
If we want to compete at a higher level then we need to get our own house in order and that also means that Rangers and Celtic must stop blackmailing and bullying the other clubs and league when it comes to votes.

Naive approach by some of the players and tactics and game management a bit too predictable and inflexible. Needs to make some tweaks and adjustments in these kind of games. Some good attacking play in the 1st half and for the goal but it's not enough to win tough away games in the CL, especially when failing to take chances.

And that pool of players is not up to Champions League fitba, it's not a critism, it's just a representation of Scottish football.
It doesn't have to though mate, Scottish football has so much more more potential to reach but no one in power who wants to make the changes.
Doncaster is weak and only interested in his own pocket, Mclennan is only interested in Helping Celtic. The SFA have been a shamble for decades.
Our league and clubs can be more competitive if the changes that are desperately needed are out in place.

Truth is that Celtic and Rangers are Championship level and will never be able to compete in Europe because they have no competition even in their own league. Love having Celtic in the UCL so there's a definite team to beat 🤣
UEFA made it that way mate, but just the Scottish league. Granted the situation in our football league and how it's run etc is a big factor but no one can ig ore the injustice done by UEFA and indicated on Scottish teams and 38 other nations in Europe.
To grant unfair sporting advantage to English team's at a time when the English couldnt even get last the knockout qualifier for the groups is just pure tournament fixing. UEFA have done out of their way to screw over Scottish football and our neighbours England have benefited most from it, that not the worst part though.... The Scottish teams could compete before UEFA did what they bit the current generations and future generations of fans around the world, in particular the Scottish and English fans, won't even know that there was once a level playing field but England got plenty of helping hands and Scotland just got chucked in the bin.
