  • Ready for an endurance test?? This is the last video I have from my Dec 2014 St. Louis meet up with Dan and Dan (Schindlerhaughton and CVE9120). And it's a long one. As a joke, we decided to ride every elevator in the famous Busch Stadium parking garages in one video. That's 7 banks of elevators that mostly look the same (well, minus all of the random problems each individual one has). Hope you enjoy!

I like that you demonstrated the accessible Street crossing at 9:40 in your video. They're putting those in all across America to help line people crossing streets.

With the crosswalk signals being put in all over downtown, they're called the Polara Navigator APS pedestrian crosswalk signals that say "wait!" every time you press the button when the sign says "don't walk." They're all over Maryland now.

One of the SLU-TV meteorologists is so annoyed by those talking crosswalk signs. The rest of the weather team always presses the button constantly just to annoy them.

    "They're all lit up."
Just like the "Montgomery Mutt", although at least one bulb is dead each visit, but it's the same.

They should make a bridge connecting the two garages and a tunnel to the ball park

Hey CVE9120, I think I may have told you this but I am not sure. But there are some disability organizations that have travel clubs. And one of them is here on CZcams.

In my opinion, I think those elevators are kinda glitchy all the time and may need to be replaced or modernized again with a new controller.

Um yeah, both of those garages are so luxurious. Do you know the fate of that Millennium? I was doing some research, and only got red "Permanently Closed" banners everywhere I looked. Nothing about a reopening, a demolition, gutting, anything. It is so massive to be closed and just sitting there, I bet it would make an awesome urban exploring video, but if Millennium still owns it (which I bet they do), then they probably have a representative from the company go and check on it. They probably still have power as well (a building that big shouldn't ever be without power). If you ever get a chance, I would love to see an update in either photos (maybe of inside the lobby) or a video. I am sure it could make a good "The Elevator Show" which featured your old videos, and a quick walk or drive around the property.

I think you might really enjoy this: czcams.com/video/k3UBcvk-inM/video.html
And no one knows what the deal is with this hotel. They announced a massive renovation, closed 3/4 of the hotel, and then abruptly shut the whole property down with no explanation. No news in 2 years, though they still own and maintain the building to this day. Since many other new hotels have opened downtown since the Millennium closed in 2014 (with 2 more due to open by the end of next year), I suspect there's just no market share left for this massive property... at least as a hotel. There's some speculation that the taller North tower will be converted to residential use, but nothing concrete.

Smh I am not too fond of the people who run that channel, because whatever they do can't be legal, and they do it a lot. But that video does verify some thoughts that I had: 1) The elevators still work 2) There is still power 3) There was a restaurant 4) Security is tight.
Can you explain the restaurant? Rooftop restaurants are always so cool. They have lost a lot of popularity somehow. Maybe going through a hotel to pay $15 for a hamburger isn't worth it. The whole residential thing surprised me to a percentage of 0. That for some reason is the "thing" and in 20 years, nobody will want these places. I guess all I have to say is that I wish the best of luck to them. It's going to take a lot of work (if it even does happen).
