One of the big character traits of Luffy is the fact that he is very friendly. He’s genuinely a good person who knows how to comfort people when they are down (beating up whatever bothers them)
He’s chill when he needs to be, and is a fighter.
He isn’t too aggressive (has never killed anybody according to Oda)
He is able to work at any hour (has no solid sleep schedule, but rather takes naps at random intervals)
He will always take advantage of free food, doesn’t matter the reasons why.
He may not be able to cook, but that isn’t one of the expectations.

@@skarloey1214 not a chef by any means, but most of the time, the customers just called my name, or got my attention, and handed me tips. To be fair, I was always stoned and just cooked what they wanted. I'd let the servers deal with ringing up orders and stuff, I just cooked. And I think that might be what got me so many tips. Listening to orders isn't hard, and neither is cooking.
It's weird because I always interpreted "The Waffle House has found its new host" not as "the restaurant has found its new employee," but instead like "the spirit of Waffle House has found a new vessel to possess."

All this time I thought my favorite movie of all time (due to nostalgia) was completely forgotten but then I saw this episode and now it's my favorite one of food theory.
Shaggy is not only a good candidate for a waffle house host. He is actually an amazing employee if motivated by food. In a universe with no mysteries, he's literally an award winning chef. Guarantee him an unlimited buffet for break and he'll operate an entire waffle house with only himself and Scooby.

Uncle Iroh is a perfect Waffle House host.
He isn’t a cook (unless you’re talking about tea) based on the fact that he was sad when Zhao took the cook from Zuko’s ship.
He is very friendly, willing to talk to anyone he comes across, and is extremely empathetic.
He’s comfortable working any time of day, as you can see from his invasion of Ba Sing Se. He led his army day and night to break into the impenetrable city.
He’s chill and wise, but he’s also one of the most powerful firebenders in the world. And he would never be too aggressive, and he knows when to stop.
That’s why I think uncle Iroh is the new host.
If Iroh was the host, I’d visit the Waffle House daily. I don’t even think we have one in my state lmao

It's a great idea. But there's one or two things still here, in my opinion. Coffee. Is there a tea option in a Waffle House ? Also, come to think of it, he's a bit... old. I know, he's pretty capable (fitness-wise), but this, again - in my opinion, is still at play.

Welcome to the impersonal US service industry and companies covering their own backside. When she went on the counterattack, that opened up the company to a potential injury lawsuit from the customers even if they started it. Also her agreeing to interviews focusing on the fighting potentially "damaged" the company's reputation (even though it's already known for this). They'd rather have every employee act like a mindless drone and would replace them with machines if it was yet feasible.
Unfortunately, they make you sign a thing that waives any kind of fighting their decision.

I live up in New England and I recently went on vacation to Georgia and I was VERY surprised to see all the waffle houses down there. I saw more waffle houses than I saw McDonald's.

I actually had on the job training for this with a company that partners with my grocery store. When they say natural flavors & coloring, they are referring to flavors that are sourced directly from things that can be found in the natural world. The flavors and colors are not synthesized but that doesn’t mean that the flavors and colors aren’t processed.
In the training they actually passed around the type of seed that they use to dye their yellow cheese yellow.

Jonny Razer actually has history with Waffle House. He had a viral short not too long ago about how Waffle House is basically an SCP, and how you can tell a situation is really bad if the local Waffle House isn't open. For this reason, I believe "The Waffle House has found its new host" is referring to the Waffle House in a similar way to Specimen 12 from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion.
To be fair that video was just a rehash of an old news story from a few years back about the Waffle House Index, which was created back in 04'.
Based on your list of criteria, I think Kirby could do pretty good in the position as well. He eats tons of food, is excellent at making friends, usually just hangs out doing his own thing, and has been known to slay the occasional god or two when necessary

2 main issues with shaggy getting the job 1. Shaggy and Scooby are a packaged deal and I don't remember seeing an employee's dog behind the counter also so people are allergic to dogs 2. Shaggy already has his 24/7 job with the gang. Only under the assumption that shaggy was ok with working without Scooby or they let Scooby work with shaggy, the gang parts ways, and he can still turn into super Saiyan shaggy at the RIGHT situation then I'd love to see shaggy working at the waffle house

MatPat's mind is like a jar, his videos are what fills it. He stores whatever he could, solid as in complete theories and full on proof with no possible denial, liquid as in theories that fill up most opposition but still float around with different thoughts, and air as in the emptiness of some theories. The air is usually flavored with a bit of salt/pepper to it to make it more into something. As the jar open's others feel or see the ideas of one such named MatPat.
