Excellent project.
My 1st amp was bad.. 1 channel was good but the other was really bad. So I had to use the channel only for tweeter ... Ground issue humming and a lot of stuff here and there..
though capacitor in series as a high pass filter reduced the humming. Still it was there..
later on my 4th attempt its good one.. very silent on both channel.. while no music you can't even hear a thing from ½ a meter...
But fan is a bit noisy..
A cheap 80mm pc fan which i had laying around..(i removed it from the psu)

Wow so do you use a temperature controlled hifi soldering iron??
I use a cheap soldering iron(60w type)
And a fan regulator in series to control the power,...
Oh yeah it is grounded..
As for fune extraction, i have fan with large pipe thingy to send all the fumes out the window...
