In the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs, the New York Knicks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in 6 games. Although the 76ers had the former MVP and one of the best scorers in the NBA in Joel Embiid, the New York Knicks had Jalen Brunson who averaged 35.5 points and 9 assists.
The NBA has quite a few players who are capable of averaging 35+ points per game in a series, but there's only one who can do so at 6 feet tall: Jalen Brunson. Despite the NBA having an average height of 6'6'', Jalen Brunson has been able to use his height to his advantage. So in today's video, we breakdown Jalen Brunson's 41 points game 6 vs 76ers and uncover how he scores as an undersized point guard.

Theres gonna be basketball courses and camps where they will just show complete games of brunson. The dude has every trick in his bag and makes zero mistakes. Every aspiring point guard should watch him.
But they’re not gonna tho. Too busy tryna be Paul George lol
Bro Brunson bag is ridiculous. Ppl love those flashy layups but a bag consist of more than that. The ability to get a shot of anywhere is a way deeper bag than anyone can understand
This dude is like Yoda
😂😂Facts
Superstar he is
Hartenstein has great chemistry with Brunson the way he flips/angles his screens knowing what Brunson wants to do
Josh Hart being there too is a great thing bc he knows if he ever needs a quick bail out josh is a great catch and shoot
Knicks with Brunson are all such high IQ, selfless players its like they're a hivemind. Exemplifies "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." The trust and confidence in one another allows them to play as a team, especially defensively. Its hard to gain that and why Thibs always has a short bench. If OG is out they're fucked because Brunson finished game 2 off adrenaline. Anyone who rolled an ankle knows you can maybe play that game even less than 100%, but once that shoe comes off and there's nothing holding off the swelling, it's GG. It'lll look like a softball tomorrow.
Brunson is a master of creating space. He's undersized in the NBA and uses his build to his advantage. Most of these clips he's using his strong center of gravity and lower body strength to get lower than his defender and using his strength to push through to where he wants to go, in combination with his elite post footwork even when he picks up his dribble he's still able to create space to get his own shot after he picks up his dribble, which is something not too many players can do even at the pro level. Brunson's game should be an inspiration for shorter PG's that have shorter arms & legs, get in the weight room, work on your footwork, and you'll be able to maximize what you can do even against bigger, taller, & longer-limbed athletes.
Thanks for this upload bro I was planning on studying Jalen brunsons game today
Great basketball analysis. love it
Thanks bru these videos have helped me elevate my game, im just tryna work on myself and get better
Dope analysis, bro!
Jalen Brunson inspires me!
I always have to come back to this video because I am a 5,10 player and this is really good advice.
yo W video but theres an issue with your microphone where i can hear this buzzing in my right earphone, pls fix.
Brunson should make a cooking show as a joke😂
Whoever the guard coaches are for the mavs did great. Granted luka and Brunson were destined for greatness, they’ve guided them well
They learned the fundamentals before they ever stepped foot in Dallas my friend. Nothing against Dallas coaches, just saying. Just watch Brunson's college clips...
His low swoop euro is so nasty
Need to do one on Dmitch he does the pretty much the same
with all this talk about spacing, do u think its possible to succeed without 5 out spacing? like kobe talked about the triangle and he said it was optimal spacing it wasn't that far out compared to what we got nowadays with 5 players all in the three point line.
Knicks don’t have 5 out Spacing it’s more optimal. 5 out spacing teams struggle to rebound because the big due to the big being on the perimeter.
@@presidentialo4836 so 5 out isnt that good?
repping the astroworld shirt thats a w
The tricky part about him is him being left handed it throws defenders off because they aren’t used to guarding that
6:45 eso es totalmente insano
I always thought you needed a stove if you wanted to cook. Lol jk
2:08 you not lying I get fouled 95% of the time when I do that low pickup & the other 5% i get right to the rim
I wouldn’t say NEVER gets blocked, but yeah pretty close to it
He’s a respectable 6’3 😂
Love Brunson, midrange hard cause flops n throws head bk offenses fouls. Defense scared gaurd him
If bronny was just as good as brunson, he would have no problems in drafts.
As silly as it sounds he has the best post game in the nba, behind Kenny lofton jr . He abuses guards in the post . He’s a left handed Tony Parker .
Also he plays off of two feet, he a nova boy
His communication exemplifies leadership skills. Don’t think this is a fluke team NY has a true leader for years to come.
Such Beautiful basketball this is what makes him my favorite player IQ is off the charts

@@pattdor1 ah ok! mb been on the channel but didn't realize 😅
anyone talking about PattDor's pookie bear?
Where the IRL vids?
soon
You gotta understand
Bro after looking at the tape… sixers defense was ass. Bronson didn’t do anything crazy. They can’t guard. They are slow. Embiid doesn’t come up any higher on defense than the foul line which kills the defense immediately
It was in .5 speed
@@user-qv5rz7cf7mbrunson can float past that whole team basically
You missed the point. It doesn’t look crazy because he keeps his game very simple: taking what the defense gives, using his size/angles and mastering the in-between game. You don’t gotta play like Kyrie to be effective.
I mean, he’s 6’2
lol bros 6 feet. 2 pretty big those move might not work if he's slightly smaller I'm like 5 11 no chance past D.1 college for me if I'm lucky
You already failed because you don’t believe in yourself
U got no chance D1 too tbh unless ur extremely explosive and skilled.
He's 6'2 but ok
first
He never gets blocked because anytime there is a defender anywhere close to him he jumps straight into them to draw a foul
😂😂 6rs fan ? Boi jumps straight up. Never left or right
@MikeJones007 lol he jumps where ever the defender is I have seen him jump backwards into defenders
So now it's an issue cause a guy on the Knicks is doing it? Players been doing this for years while the Knicks sucked ass and no one gave a shit. Everyone just accepted as part of the game. Stop.
@jjp_nyc when trea young does it tho he's a pos tho right? There are supposed to be rules against this now, where you have to make a natural shooting motion.
