Unfortunately not. After the 30th take, they usually call the police, and honestly, I can't really blame them. That's what happened when The Beatles went recording on a rooftop, too. I did a recording on a rooftop once and we did it as quiet as possible acoustic and all no problems, but with the drums and the CP-70 piano (which is acoustic actually) and the guitar, it's a different story. As much as you might love the band, you would find yourself getting out of your home pretty quickly. A live recording session is painstakingly long. You can trust a pro sound man about this ;)

I have the Yamaha CP-70 at home (the piano shown here), and I can tell it's an absolute hell of an herculean task to bring this thing on a rooftop. I mean it basically is a scaled down acoustic grand piano, with a mic on each key, encased in an inch of bronze.
I can't even move it an inch away from the wall so I look up the connection close to it with a mirror... Jesus Christ :O God bless the technicians! I also know how rough this job is, but this is next level roadie work!
isn't this a CP 80? judging by the fact that it has 88 keys? asking from curiosity maybe you know the tone better.
This is a way underrated song and needs to have more people recognize it
