Is it possible to move the camera even farther back? I almost caught a glimpse of the "clips" and it would be benefitial to never see what the clips look like. .

If the back is bolted to the frame, then it can be removed. However, this is more of a detailed process. How do you LEVEL it?

Hey Nan! When installing the back, you need to insure that you press down on each side of the back until you hear and feel the click in place. If you do that, the back will be level.
