For some recommendations: Ravishing the Heiress is a historical (it can be a little slow but there is good pinning). Love in the Afternoon and The Wedding Trap also are historical novels that have unrequited love (love in the afternoon is my favorite). Lead by Kylie Scott and My Darling Arrow are two really good contemporaries that I would recommend the most. If anyone has more recommendations please let me know!

I feel the same way as you about jealousy in romance. I love when it’s an internal thing, especially before the two characters actually recognize they’re in love with each other, but when it’s a possessive alpha thing I just get irritated or rolling my eyes.
For grumpy/sunshine, I’d say Honeytrap by Aster Glenn Gray fits the trope really well!

I'm definitely picky about second chance romance tropes, in the same way I am with enemies-to-lovers, because I've read a few too many where I simply cannot get over the original break up or source of conflict. But I keep going back to it, so maybe I'll try these ones, too

girl I read Him because of your recommendations video and it was so good! I totally agree with your thoughts on it. We're clearly shown why these two are pining for each other & why they works so well together. To me, its the puzzle piece element you always talk about. Plus the banter is good & smut so sexy. I thought the exploration of sexuality was so well done, the characters communicated AND the scenes were very hot. I also LOVE the oblivious jealousy trope you mentioned, definitely don't see it used enough outside fanfic. Also, so excited the vlogs are back! I wonder what the big announcement is

Loved this video! A grumpy x sunshine romance I’ve enjoyed is The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler. It’s a small town romance set in Alaska and I found it a lot of fun!
Add The Co-op to my TBR based on your recommendation. I love these trope videos and can't wait for Grumpy/Sunshine. It's one of my favs. I really love big city girl/small town trope too a la The Simple Wild.

For the grumpy-sunshine video, I would really love to watch you read the failing hours by Sara Ney. It is the second in a college-sport-romance series, but they are interconnected standalones and this series is one of my favourites and I totally feel that it deserves more hype.

For grumpy sunshine I have to recommend the fiction between us as a fun grumpy sunshine I’m which the heroine is the grumpy one which I always feel like is a nice change from the norm
Highly recommend Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn for grumpy sunshine (if you haven't read it already)!

I would die to see you read By A Thread by Lucy Score. I didn't love Things We Never Got Over too but this book was amazing.
I'm assuming that the grumpy x sunshine you'll read as a reread will be it happened one summer by tessa bailey... some others that come to mind are act your age, eve brown by talia hibbert, go hex yourself by jessica clare, in the weeds by BK borison, battle royal by lucy parker, and always only you by chloe liese (this is girl grump, guy sunshine!). I feel like tessa dare uses that trope a lot in her romances (wallflower wager, romancing the duke, the duchess deal) as well.
Honestly, I'm Totally Faking It by Amanda Gambill for a grumpy x sunshine!! Such an underrated book.

i have no recs for grumpy/sunshine, but i have a vague request - all the m/f grumpy/sunshine i've ever found is grumpy man + sunshine woman, and i'd love to see the reverse (does abby jimenez's part of your world do that? i've never heard it called grump/sunshine tho)

Fun video and enjoyed your reviews. The only book I read was the Lisa Kleypas one….ironically I haven’t really reread the whole book but I do have one scene saved that was one of my favorites and I do open and reread just that part. I was trying to figure out how to share here without giving it away cuz it’s a key one and checked to find the chapter….well…lol, it’s ch. 19🤣. I’ll leave that there but like you I wasn’t a impressed with the whole book either although I love this author. This leads me to my recommendation for grumpy/sunshine and one of my favorite “full books rereads” is by her also called “Dreaming of You”- if you haven’t read this then I highly recommend it and pretty sure Derek Craven will steal ur 💗 a little. Editing to add in this long comment that the first book in this series is also a fave reread called “ Then Came You”- you don’t need to read in order but if they interest you then I’d recommend starting with book 1.

If you want an angsty second chance romance All That Has Flown Beyond by Marina Vivancos is so good! There are lots of flashbacks and soooo much angst.

In your Top 20 Kindle romance books, you mentioned a "why choose" book you didn't like (600 pages? Yeah, I can understand why), but another one that you've probably read (and also a hockey one) that I enjoyed was Double Pucked by Lauren Blakely.
Again the magic was also underwhelming for me, like I really didn't get the feels for them to be together in the present
