We still don't negotiate medical costs like every other country on the planet. He will also look into purchasing medications from other countries that get better deals. An open market will increase competition and drive prices down because if they go up you can just go to an insurer offering better deals no matter where they are located. The companies that get the most customers can then give even better prices because of the larger customer base. Because of these few changes we can expect prices to go down during the Trump presidency.

Most high-up politicians have many of the traits of psychopaths, and that includes a lack of empathy. They're usually good at feigning it though if it gets the results they want. I work for a small family business and my employer was forced to drop it because the costs went up too much once Obamacare kicked in. Obama did nothing to fix the rising costs. We still don't negotiate medical costs like every other country on the planet. So all he did was force people to pay no matter how much the price rises, giving the medical industry the go ahead to stay on the same track. I've been to a doctor maybe once in 10 years but I'm somehow expected to pay $600/month for minimal coverage. No thanks. I'll have to take my chances. It's much cheaper for me to go to a walk-in clinic if I absolutely have to.
Trump wants to control costs through negotiations on pricing for medications and procedures. He will also look into purchasing medications from other countries that get better deals. Additionally he wants to open up the current limitations whereby we are forced to only buy from insurers within our state of residence, which allows for monopolies and fewer choices. An open market will increase competition and drive prices down because if they go up you can just go to an insurer offering better deals no matter where they are located. The companies that get the most customers can then give even better prices because of the larger customer base. Because of these few changes we can expect prices to go down during the Trump presidency.
