I got into 1980s direct drive Supras a few years back, bought and sold two so far. I love working on them, both of them went to friends when sold. First needs a stringer rebuild, other was already restored so wasn’t much I could improve. I really enjoy refurbishing work on any cool machines so I am shifting the focus of my service business to more mechanical repair than home remodeling stuff. I’m really starting to fall in love with the 50s and 60s wooden launches and runabouts so that might be my one of my next boat projects.
