I think it would’ve worked better on my hair if it were dry or semi dry like your hair in this video. I’d love to see you try the conditioner (the reg one not deep conditioner). It made my hair sooo soft! I think you will like it. The deep conditioner was alright nothing to rave about. My only issue is ALL the products smell the same and after a while it became overkill. But the line was def for our coils

It definitely isn’t necessary to use a gel. A long while ago I was using the deva curl super cream (not any more) I’ve used creme of nature and aunt Jackie’s cream stylers. Sometimes i use the creme of nature mousse. I’ve only used a gel about a handful of times and get great long lasting results especially with the mousse
Take time to experiment. But nope you don’t have to use a gel or cream. Maybe one day I will try a twist out using a mousse . Just for you ✨ thanks for watching 🤗
