When we see Christ as glorious and all-satisfying in the midst of our pain, temptation and shame, He is glorified in us. His sacrifice is sufficient. Your salvation is not dependent upon your success in glorifying Him, but on the righteousness of Christ. Rest in His promise and turn from wickedness. God is greater. When we see Him correctly, we recognize just how small and guilty we are, but He is our hope. Don't believe the lies of the devil. Combat him with the word of God. His mercies are new every morning. He is merciful. He has forgiven His saints. We're sealed with His holy Spirit. Take courage in Him. You're weak, He's strong.

+keckitaround One of the great misconceptions alot of people have about Christians is that those that did many great things here on earth compared to those christians who weren't known is that they will be esteemed greater in heaven, that in itself is not true. That "special" place you are referring to is reserved for all true repentant and regenerated believers, not just those that were known and preached in-front of many.

+Keith Thompson I guess to be more to the point at the risk of sounding strange to some, I could have said the Lord is going to give him a very large reward in heaven.

+keckitaround Compared to who? Other Christians?....Can you find a verse to support some Christians receiving better gifts than others? There is no verse to support your thinking. In John 14, Jesus says that his father has prepared a house with many rooms for YOU, the you is synonymous to all Christians, not just a select few. 1st Corinthians 2 speaks about the things God has prepared for them (christians) who love him.
The point I'm trying to prove is that regardless of the works some believers may have accomplished by way of the Holy spirit here on earth, in the end, all will be loved equally and treated the same. That fact is difficult for us to understand, even for myself but none the less it is true. If you are truly regenerate, the same gifts Piper will receive in heaven, so will you.

In demanding our praise God is demanding (seeing through) the completeness of our pleasure! (16:30) That's life changing.

    One point about this;
We are created in His image, we are patterned to Him,
And our joy is weaved in the pattern of Loving Him.
    Our joy is in Him...
Some may say it's shallow, but when you treasure Him in your heart, mind and soul, it is the most deepest relationship we will ever have,
playing always the tape recording of our minds again and again for eternity, for all the things He has done for us.
We have been too much pleased by God, in all things, yet we never pleased Him too much, our praise to Him is less than what He has already given us,
His life, His love, His all.

Let my joy be always most supreme in Jesus and Jesus only. Hallelujah.

Desiring God, thank you for allowing comments, for not many Christian channels allow them (and usually under the excuse of preventing "vulgarity"); but, how can one's message ever be properly delivered without allowing dialogue? Christ never shunned the commentary of others (even when they cursed the Holy Spirit).

Maybe you can make hedonism to satisfaction hehehe...
But I hope there's a more good to hear term...
I agree with it, the term only is as said is controversial.
I pray we could explain this more refined as time goes by, the Lord will reveal more of Him to us, as we are more satisfied in Him😊

bible.com/59/rom.11.1-36.ESV I ask, then, has God rejected his people? By no means! For I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” But what is God’s reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, as it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.” And David says, “Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them; let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and bend their backs forever.” Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” As regards the gospel, they are enemies for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

A scripture showing that God still has plans and purposes for Israel and john piper dosent believe in Israels salvation or that there are plans for Israel he believes that we believers are the new israel, but paul the apostle from scripture said he has not rejected his people the scripture makes sense of it all, that's from biblical perspective how we are to view all things

How can I know when I’m satisfied “most” in Him? What if I fail short of this introspective goal of always trying to be joyful? What hope or assurance do i find ? And this is further an issue when I hear Pipers Final Justification doctrine. I have the feeling that Piper wanted so badly to come up with a new theology and be the next “Jonathan Edwards” however I think he should have just trusted in the age old truths. God’s word is complete, Christ is Enough!!! I’d rather look to Christ a thousand times then my self even once. Piper is in Error, and should be avoided.

Not necessarily. God is glorious regardless of our perception. If you mean, He'll be cherished on a larger scale, then yes, but if you mean that He'll be more valuable if more people see Him as valuable, then no. When we pass on and His Kingdom comes, He will be shown as glorious by His righteousness in pouring His wrath on the wicked.
