- Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren take on one of the most sensational cases of their careers after a cop stumbles upon a dazed and bloodied young man walking down the road. Accused of murder, the suspect claims demonic possession as his defense, forcing the Warrens into a supernatural inquiry unlike anything they've ever seen before.

When there are two “L” next to each other in Spanish you pronounce it as “Y”. ie Tortilla - “Tortiya”, Llorona - “Yorona”, Padilla - “Padiya”.
his pronunciation was scarier than the movie
In our region, Padilla is Padilya
Yeah it’s the first thing you learn in Spanish class so it hurt hearing that
He's definitely not a Spanish genius
As Ron Burgundy would say, "I'm sorry, I don't speak Spanish" lol
I know in real life Annabelle was a raggedy Anne doll and she’s a creepy China doll just for the scare factor. But if my mum had given me that beast as a gift I’d have assumed she hated me and wanted me out the family.
This movie wasn't as frightening as the other Conjuring films
Very weak
I feel that it had a really good story but I agree that it wasn’t really scary
@@bensheehan797 really good story? It was Fucken stupid
Very formulaic. Not nearly cool imagery of the other films.
I liked the concept of an actual human being the bad guy this time
I don’t think this was the right story to use in a horror franchise, a drama maybe but not horror.
That’s my opinion.
I agree. Especially for the final film in the series. This should have been a standalone film like La Llorona or The Nun. James Wan should have done the final film, since he created the universe and did a great job with the first 2.
@@filmcomicsexplained I have a theory that the haunting in Connecticut was going to be the third film.
But it was already made into a stand alone movie already.
big agree
@@AncestorEmpire1 I think he also mentioned once doing the “werewolf of Southend” case the warrens did but I think they just put that one into Annabelle Comes Home
@@Quinnandfriends1 both of those would be good.
I am glad they showed Ed’s weak heart in the movie though, since that is what eventually killed him.
Niyat been putting so much content out lately, he's been working like he's possessed 😅
The algorithm made him do it
@@yummytea19 😂
How do you know he isnt possessed? 🤔
The movie was fine but as you can see, he chose the most interesting part for his intro. Problem is that was over within the first 15 mins of the movie.
GOD WHY ALL THE TERRIBLE SPINOFFS!!!!!!!! I just want a Crooked man spinoff PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
its supposed to come out in 2022
@@emilyschmanks Really? I thought they were going to push the crooked Man project back for another Annabelle and Nun sequel....?
@@teddybearkiller5271 i did some googling and apparently there are no current plans for another annabelle movie, but they did put the crooked man on the back burner for now because there's more demand for the nun 2. i don't remember where i read the crooked man was supposed to be out next year.
sorry for getting your hopes up! i shouldve looked into it myself
@@emilyschmanks Oh that's okay!
Now I'm just pissed that they're making a sequel to that terrible Nun movie............
@@teddybearkiller5271 the NUN was a absolute disaster
They say the Catholic Church's procedures when it comes down to exorcisms hasn't changed much since the 1600s. I'm sure nearly all that this can be explained away by epilepsy.
Probably 🤷🏿♂️
Epilepsy gives the ability for one not very well built human to be stronger than a few grown up men or saying theologically correct things without having prior knowledge of that or spitting objects from guts? Yeah...
@@santepaulus None of which actually happened in the real life case this movie is based on 🤷🏿♂️
I am religious, but the truth is that, historically, mankind has blamed MANY events on demonic activity when there were actually scientific explanations for them.
And this is a film. It is a fictionalised and sensationalised version of what really happened to these people because it's meant to entertain us.
I would say late-stage rabies would be the cause, same amount of rabid strength and a fear of water that a priest could consider a fear to holy water instead.
"Who likes throwing things around and possessing people" 😂
The devil made me turn notifications on so here I am.
The curse of la Lorna, the best thing about that movie has been CZcamsrs trying to pronounce it xD
"La Lorna" 😂
More like "The Conjuring: The Devil is Very Dull." That's what CZcamsrs and critics have said about this film.
audience ratings: am I a joke to you
It was okay. Banal.
I fell asleep about 20 minutes deep. 😴
It was not as great as the first two films
Maybe I’m alone in this but I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Liked the exorcist, shining references and quite enjoyed the concept of the priests daughter being seduced by the ways of satanism, though I do agree there was less development of the family under the knife
Yeah I thought it was better than most of the Annabelle movies, but the weakest of the Conjuring titles.
Well said and I agree with you both
i do too, i just think they cudve done without the "court case" angle, it didn't REALLY contribute to the story (not in the way the trailers made you think) and the whole idea is stupid for so very many reasons.
@@TjPhysicist I’m assuming the court case part was to ground it in reality as these movies are loosely ‘based on real cases’ that the Warrens have dealt with, though I do agree the inclusion felt a bit forced at time.
I enjoyed this conjuring movie I thought it was pretty good
This movie felt more like a documentary instead of a scary movie
@D'ario Gutierrez tragic
A bad one at that…
Been using your videos to fall asleep. Really relaxing voice thanks.
JCS Criminal Psychology subscribers: 'reads the title' I understood that reference.
🤣
The demon has a nice taste in music tho
Can you do a video explaining the crossed virus
It was not meant to be an ‘horror /jump scare ‘ movie. It tries to deal with the matter if you are ‘possessed’ are you really ‘guilty’ for the actions are committed while you are Possessed?….The rest (filling) of course is necessary to cover costs….it was a ver good/ok thriller for me.
Honestly, my favorite part about the main Conjuring trilogy, is that these are based on true events (minus a few small details so the story would have a better flow). Ed and Lorraine Warren were fascinating people and I would love to visit their house/museum in Connecticut.
Fascinating, yes. But apparently they were also kinda shady 😕
Even if one believes that all the instances of supernatural mayhem were real, the Warrens apparently exploited people and made money off of this stuff which the families involved saw very little of.
You should go google the events on which this movie is based and see what the real life family has had to say about Ed and Lorraine.
This is the person in 99 who thought Blair witch was real and in 07 came to San Diego because paranormal activity 🙄
@@FadzaiSimango oh yeah they were monsters.
@@JohnGalt916 😆 Lol, I'm too young to remember the Blair Witch Project (although I recognise the name), but I remember how Paranormal Activity was hyped up as "absolutely, definitely real" 😂 supposedly from genuine 'found footage'. My friends were so into it and all went to go watch the film, which supposedly terrified them. But even as a pre-teen, I was unimpressed by the premise and unconvinced by the marketing, so I declined to see it 😅
Yeah, evidence pointa to them being paranormal grifters. A certain south Park episode comes to mind.
ZZZZHHHZZZZZHAAA-ZING
Conjuring 1 and 2 scared the crap out of me, couldn't sleep for a while and that is why I've not watched any of the other films in the series
James Wan is on another level 💯 the first two is better than this of course, Patrick and Vera is awesome as always
I completely agree this movie was like trying to enjoy a nice stake that's unfortunately been overlooked with no salt.
I really wish James Wan directed this. It wasn't as scary as the first two
same
Can you do an explainer on The Strain by Guillermo del Toro? Thank you
Omg yes. That was my show. I second that. Ikr if he watched it or not but he would definitely like.
All I want is a movie about the crooked man.
A VERY well done critic, i couldn't agree more with the analysis of this movie.
Laughed a bit too hard at the Marilyn Manson look like alike bit
Never seen any of the conjuring media
Since it takes place in 1981, you would think that Arne would have seen the Exocist , and that inviting the demon into your body is a bad idea
I agree with the film’s breakdown and I definitely wished it had a slightly better story from their experiences and James Wan back to direct it. I still enjoyed it.
Not like all the haters from the comments, I really enjoyed this movie watch it like 4 times. This movie is more about Ed and Lorain and the affects they have to go through in their cases. The first time I saw it I cried at the end when Lorain had a pill saved for Ed.
ANNABELLE: I got so much movies.
LA LLORONA: Hah! I only got one spin-off!
DEVIL: Blaming me again? Why does it always have to be me.
Can ya do Whitespikes next pls?
It's on the to-do list, champ!
Do a video on the whitespikes from tomorrow war plz
I know I asked this in a previous video, but could you cover "Shot Caller"?
It's about a stock broker becoming a hardened criminal after being imprisoned for a DUI accident which resulted in the death of his friend.
It's one of the most underrated movies of it's year, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jon Bernthal and Lake Bell.
First to comment? Also love your videos, can’t wait to see what this one brings!
Y’all wasn’t at scared but I was literally screaming and jumping in the theater they even made it cold in that bish like a spirit was over your shoulder
Yes! Been waiting for this one!!!
Haven't seen it yet.......so I will just have to take your word on this film 👌👍
Just watched this and tbh after hearing all the negative thing's about it I didn't expect much but found it ok , kills a couple of hours.
Can you do “The Tomorrow War”
Yess
at thsi point, they ARE the Warren's. I wonder if the actors experience paranormal events through their portrayals.
There's an 80s made for tv movie that was made about this story. It is one of Kevin bacon early movies.
I love all the movies!
'la lorna', had to pause the vid and take a walk around my house to forget that
Day one of waiting for a horror movie about a pigeon
Watch "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock lol
@@filmcomicsexplained yeah but id still wanna see a pidgeon go on a killing spree
I am just waiting for the crossover film where the Warren's team up with the avengers.
Well, then we wait for the 4th part in the series. Whether the developers themselves know where the journey is going.
I wanna see the one with the Samurai Armor
Yeah
here before the change to the thumbnail
Please do a video on Spring...
I’m still waiting for “The Core” explained video 😕😕
8 of these??? They need to stop already. This is like Saw now.
So hopefully this then will be the end of the conjuring-verse and Hollywood can dump some effort and resources into new and good horror movies.
Why, the Conjuring series has been far and away better than most of the others they've put out
@@omgitsme435 Its the exact same product they put out actually, take a concept that works and then spin it to a near endless amount of squeals AKA the Hollywood method.
For future reference Ll pretty much phonetically sound like Y so pronounce like this yorona
The Explanation is ten times scarier and more intense than the actual movie although I didnt hate the movie it was somewhat mundane
La Llorona is no longer considered part of the conjuring. They released a statement saying since one of the producers wasn't involved it is no longer in the same universe or something like that.
"ain't nothin' to it..."
Can you do the ruins film ???
Please do Zodiac 2007 analysis please
Can you do martyrs?
After watching the film, I had a feeling that the film seems rushed and doesn’t have like the 2 main characters doesn’t connect with the other characters like the previous 2 films.
So like, what would have happened if you knocked the little boys head in before the demon took over?
Old ladies aren't scary. I don't care what anyone says... whenever I think they can make an old lady scary in a movie, when I actually see it, it's not.
Ok i honestly laughed more than got scared watching this film
Why do people use the word, "honestly" in their comments, as if it gives your sentence more credence...
No one 'honestly' cares what you 'honestly' think...
@@PrivateAccountXSG I honestly dont give a rats ass about your input either. Why do people think their random rants on the internet have any meaning anyway? Your reply is as meaningless and as irrelevant as my original comment. Go figure
@@brunohommerding3416 lol glad i made an impact
@@PrivateAccountXSG i say the same lmao
Do candy man please!!
It’s so much better hearing someone talk about it and explain it while showing glimpses of the film instead of actually watching it because all it is nowadays is quiet sequences to the point you can’t fucking hear and then out of nowhere loud noises and music with a fuck ton of jump scares
Now yes not all horror films are like this and this is just generally the idea of horror but honestly it just gets a bit repetitive and annoying
Good vid though🤙
Not sure what everyone was wanting from this movie. I thought it was pretty creepy and good. Yes the others have been better, but this was still a great creepy movie.
I still don't understand how the man only received a mandatory minimum of 5 years
They should've included the case of Michael Taylor in the UK in the 1970s or 80s. He was exorcised but the priests warned some demons still remained. Regardless, they allowed him to leave (a psychiatric institute, I believe) and he went home, murdering his wife, killing their dog and wandering the streets naked. I doubt the Warrens had any involvement with that case but these types of movies don't let truth ruin the storyline.
I think it would've been more interesting, rather than what was basically the Conjuring's remake of The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
What got me was the kid 100% had his spine broken in miltiple places, shoulders and hips dislocated and about every muscle hyper extended and he was magically 100% fine after the demon went 'Meh, im done with this kid'
I really don't see The Conjuring series scary but more like a detective superhero film.
So many poor movies in this universe..
It feels like the conjuring trying to do an excorsist. But like In reverse
I thought this one was the best in the bunch.
This was still an enjoyable movie but it was definitely worse than the previous 2 conjuring films
Conjuring 3, made me sleep.
My experience with the conjuring universe was shaky. I had no interest in the first movie since possession/poltergeist/demon movies aren’t scary to me. But I heard that the first two were really good. I decided to take my first step in the universe with the nun or la llorona whichever one came first. I hated them since I saw them both lol and then i cared less for a scary doll movie so I never gave an effort for Annabelle. This movie, which my brother who is a big fan of this universe, convinced me to see it. And again I was reinforced with my bias towards these movies. I was exposed to all the terrible entries first and it’s a shame since I have no energy to watch the 2 conjuring which I hear is REALLY good. And I believe that it’s really good but this third conjuring really burned me out
If you watch the movie in order most people would give up by the first or second movie cause they were so tterrjble. The conjuring 1 and 2 is the best hence why so many others came after it for the money
There aren't any good jumpscares. They're all expected. We need Japanese horror elements. They know what they're doing when producing Japanese horror films
Annabelle creation was the last good movie of this franchise
how y'all not get scared?
James Wan Should've done it...
I'm a little done with 'evil satanists' as a plot point.
is that Elton John in the thumbnail?
i did like the first 30 min, only in the concep, they miss the chance of trully make the legal system the antagonist, while the warren bring the history and experience to make the case work, (less jump scare more lore!!!)
After seeing the scary movie version none of these are scary anymore 😅
Just an awful looking movie
But I’ll still watch this video :)
The thumbnail is priceless
when you say, crooked man, dew you mean, valak...?
Conjuring: The Devil made me do it - For 500 dollars
fresh
Say "Llorona" like "Corona" with a "Y". Otherwise, great synopsis and analysis!
I didn't think there could be a more boring than the Nun but than I saw the conjuring the devil made me do it.
The only good part of this movie was when it was trying to be Evil Dead at the beginning.
Sounds like he said CHADVEZ.
Definitely found myself getting bored with this one after 20 minutes in, think I even fell asleep :/ Good job I get to enjoy FilmComicsExplained! At least this way I have an actual Idea of what's even going on :) Thanks Niyat!
Ah, The Conjuring. The 'horror' version of "Fast and Furious". I enjoyed the first, watched the second, but didn't bother watching any of the others. But great breakdown, as always
i agree that this movie isnt as good as the first two conjurings but i disagree with why, like dude all 3 of these movies were big budget films and the first two are also "based on true stories" alla nyone had to do was look up the perron family and we since ed and lorraine were real people we knew they werent gonna die in those films too, like i dont understand how you use that as a criticism.
Wait you forgot INSIDIOUS? & INSIDIOUS 2?.. and the LoST 🔑 or whatever??
