oh my god, i just realized, the light aetherhue is RGBW and the "dark" aetherhue is "CMYK" it's literally light colors, and then printer ink, i was wondering why it was called "dark" now i understand
It's so cool!
They're the subtractive colours, which is also why the buff to get them is subtractive palette

Can someone explain why the light and dark combos are two separate keybinds? From what I can tell, one of them is always disabled so I don't get why they're not just one keybind?
Pretty good idea. I think there's a few changes I'd do but I can't wait ima main this at launch
A question i have is: do party members also have to stand in the landscape painting to get the raidbuff or only the pictomancer?
As far as I can tell from the tooltip, ONLY the PCT has to stand inside the grassy area to receive their buffs, the rest of the party gets what is essentially a Searing Light (from SMN)

So were the early guesses about Picto being a hybrid support/DPS incorrect then? Seems like the class is basically just in direct competition with Black Mage instead.
It has a raid buff and a party shield which is more than BLM has, but it still seems like it's first and foremost a personal DPS class. It's not like Dancer or anything.
Does the hammer move really take up three different buttons on your hotbar?
Doesn't matter much considering the lack of buttons for the class.

Square Enix usually does a "Media Tour" one or two months before the release of the next ff14 expansion where they invite ff14 content creators as well as other people from different medias to play a beta build of the upcoming expansion.

I hadn't realized hammer attacks are AOE, I was avoiding them during mob packs in dungeon, loving the job.

What level are we starting at
Pictomancer starts at lv 80. So going through Endwalker dungeons first before getting to the Dawntrail stuff. The next expansion's jobs will start at 90, then 100, etc.

Great guide. I gave viper a try first but hated it. Picto is awesome but has an odd feeling rotation. Going to take getting used to. The damage is insane though.
I am SO maining PTM or whatever the abreviation will be for the MSQ. I technically main WHM, but I can switch for a time!

Does anyone know, what gear set is pictomancer, gonna be shared with? A friend told me, picto will share gear with NIN. Or is it going to have its own set?
Casting, one sharing gear with Ninja is Viper.

I really do not care about Pictomancer. I would have preferred new SMN egi glamours from the Eden primals, or entirely new summons like Ramuh and Shiva. As for RDM it would have been cool to include a longer melee rotation, y’know, what with the rapier and all.
How fcking badass would those changes have been? Instead we got anorexic Bahamut, and virtually no other changes for RDM. Shit, even BLM got a rework! I gotta admit DT has already disappointed me in terms of magic dps jobs, and it’s not even released yet. 🫤
Rdm has some of the best and most stylish animations in the game, let them make new shit instead of continuing to add more to something that has plenty
