Made one but didn't think it would work in Florida . Soft sand made it difficult to bury wires. Low and behold it worked like a charm ! I highly recommend !
Man, I"m thinking I might have to try this with a mouse trap I have... smaller... though seems like will be effective enough. Will be interesting to see if one will even go through the wire loop... though large enough seems like no big deal. Neat, thanks for sharing!
Maan! I spent hours , (no..DAYS!) a couple years ago figuring out the same scheme, only i used only one wire and used the same rat trap trigger, just bored one hole under the old trigger and dropped about a 16 penny common nail thru the hole into the tunnel. And my trap sets not across but longwise and I have to set 2 traps, end to end , longwise of the tunnel to get mole going either way. It was a major achievement of 71 yrs of existence ! But YOUR’S IS BETTER. Mine is cheaper tho, I used the smaller MOUSETRAPS which are 25 cents each, the rat traps are just too expensive! Ha ha
like this ideal. Tried to make one, but can't get the Trigger to hold. Why does this poster not talk and tell us what he is doing is beyond me. Nor does he give the EXACT dimensions of the trigger mechanism. Even holding up a tape measure to it would have helped. Not wanting his voice heard, makes me think he is probably wanted by the law.
Pure genius Wile E Coyote could not have done better!!!
This is brilliant! You are not disturbing their tunnels and the wire is so thin they do not even feel it

Genius!!! Very innovative and effective solution!!! Well done! :)
Wish you gave step by step instructions like how you attached wires. I think this is brilliant
I was wondering why I been hanging onto that large rat trap all these years. Now I know!
Very cool your a wizard as far as I'm concerned.im gonna try and build one . thanks for the idea.
how do you make the trigger

How to get the trigger to lock in

Showed everything except how to attach the trigger square to the trigger rod.
Yes he skip a step... He should repost the first part of the video...
I use super glue

Wow! Btw first comment!
Omg!
For crying out loud, just go to the local auction barn and buy a second hand mole trap already!
Les Lieb Nah
Lolol
Because the other traps do not work. I have tried them all.
What an uninformed, small-minded remark! Are you in the USA? Did you know there's a whole WORLD beyond your shores, yank?
