  • Here's the first in a 5 part video (soon to be 6) on sealing the roof of my 1979 C3 Corvette. I plan on adding one more video once we have the windshield trim painted. I did a bit of searching to try and find gaskets & or videos on how to keep the roof from leaking and didn't find anything. Even after changing the T-top gasket I still had water coming in. These video's are my solution to the problem, hope it helps you out!

I would be afraid that you are now sealing water into the area. Water or moisture will get in there, it needs to either dry or drain out.

I get what your saying. Unless I'm missing something, if water gets into that area you're going to have water inside the car, which is what I had. From what I could tell the water was getting in through the top windshield trim. If anyone has another solution or knows more I'm always willing to learn? The other thing is, if water gets into that area it holds water because it's shaped like a trough, once it fills it spills over into the car. My solution was to stop it from coming in, once it gets in it will come into the car and the tough acts like a reservoir.
