I have a crazy caught in the rain story from Memorial Day 2017. I was just getting off from my last day of an old job and saw there was a storm coming. I thought perhaps I could beat it. Oh no no no. I was about halfway home on my old Honda PCX 150 when the heavens opened the floodgates. Along with the heavy rain, there was some really gusty winds and cloud to ground lightning. I took refuge at a shopping center until it let up and then rode back home. Turned out I rode in one of the worst derechos that Memphis, TN has and the way back home was definitely littered with downed trees and power lines. Would have made a great video if I had a GoPro but it is one hell of a way to ride home on the last day of the job!
I ride one of those Chinese tao scooters and it cruises at 45 mph I have amber and white caution lights on the front and sides because I live in Florida and everytime I look to my left or right at a light, all I see are drivers on their phones. It's scary. But I love the fun of riding a moped and it's so cheap I can save so much money on gas and maintenance. People say the Chinese scooters suck but 45 mph is pretty good and I have a stock one, and I've had it for over 2 years and it still runs and starts great. Still gets 100 mpg.
ive owned Chinese Taiwanese Japanese American they are not bad at all i will say Taiwanese scoots ive had were the most reliable second was Japanese and then Chinese yes over American never had an Italian scoot yet the only difference is with anything other than Chinese is luxury Chinese are just motor seat and speedo with other makes you get all types of things like my kymco which is taiwanese has all the bells and whistle most comfy ive ever had but i daily rode a Chinese scoot for 2 years and id deff buy one again
Tell us about your gear. I'm looking for a decent pair of riding gloves as my hands get real cold riding my Yahama Zuma 50f in the cold weather. Thanks for the video!
Not at all lol. On a 50cc we generally go 30 max unless there’s a slight downhill and then we can hit 30-50mph and keep it up around 40lbs but def try not to hit that 50!!
trust me when i say better a german shepherd then a husky XD i feel the same about new york its nice just not the politics the people or the culture haha.. awesome video im considering as my escooter turns 7k miles and barely topping out at 35mph any more im considering a 50cc scooter as an option over getting a newer escooter that will cost 1400-2000 dollars and still only max out at around 50 miles on a charge even with fast charge its not far i get 30miles if i go max 35 mph all the time gas going up alot in NY but i still think it might be worth a 50cc and register it for the town roads

I kinda miss wearing my mask now lol
Why
What bike is this?
What’s top speed on that 50cc? Seems like equal speed as to what 125cc can do almost
My 50cc tops out around 35-40mph and cruises comfortably at 30-35mph. My brother says 125cc can do 55-60mph.
Seems to move slightly faster than most I see. Most look like they're struggling to stay 30mph.
@@artdogg50 from what i have heard, the taotao brand scooters have pretty bad factory carbs, and often are slower than more well made 50ccs
@@showoe3126 I agree
