The Ford Escort Cosworth Gets New Wheels plus my other Hot Hatches | Raj's Garage

- In the last few videos I've been focusing mainly on my Porsches.. it's now time to give some love to my Hot Hatches.
In this episode, my Ford Escort RS Cosworth gets some much needed tlc and bigger wheels, which dramatically improve the look, drive and handling of the car. A couple of the other hot hatches get some love too, including fresh MOT’s in preparation for upgrades.

For the R5 i always thought the Speedline turbine alloys as used on the Clio 16v looked well on the GT turbos back in the day, awesome toy box you have bud, enjoyed the video

If the 18” cossy rep’s didn’t exist then I’d be inclined on a Rotiform 3 piece set, but I prefer the OEM look with the stepped up wheels. Not sure it even need’s lowering it looks ace 👍🏽
Although it wouldn’t hurt to test the waters to see what difference - 70mm / 100mm will make of this

Escort looking good now the 18s make a big difference you can see massive difference when you see two cars beside each other with one on original 16s

I'm 33 years old and I have to be honest, I love my late 80's, early/mid 90's cars but the Escort Cosworth just doesn't do it for me. I'm not even a fan of the Sapphire but have so much love for Sierra model. If I had a colossal amount of money, my garage would hold an RS500, F40 and 993 Turbo (S). These 3 cars were the pinnacle for me! BTW your black 993 is insane!
Totally understand .. some people don't get the whole Cossie thing (but I do 😊 ). The 993 Turbo is definitely special 👍🏼
I'm always looking at RS Cosworths. There's a Mallard Green with hex upholstery near Quebec for sale. There up around 100 thousand dollars over here. But they're so damn cool.

Stunning cars, get the RS Turbo chip'd,,air filter, larger intercooler and a good setup on rollers for easy 180bhp, comes alive then.

Car looks great but whatever you do, don't use the Jamex Springs, they were budget springs when new, something the Escort Cosworth definitely wasn't.
My brother used to buy max power and fast car magazines and I didn't just enjoy it for the cars and car audio haha

I wouldn’t change a thing on the escort cossie, the 18’s suit it down to the ground, it looks stunning. I think you’d be mad to change the wheels again. And get the suspension done properly, it’s a proper car, so it deserves proper suspension.

I love the 18’s on the Cosworth, tyres look a little stretched but not too extreme. I’d love a set on my red Big Turbo Escort Cosworth but unfortunately my AP discs are too big 😟 Have a look at Black Art Design coilovers as an alternative to KW. BAD are based in Essex

Cossie tyres look a bit too stetched.... personal preference! Tidy tho.... wheels look perfect! No, it does not need to be lower.... the rear wants lifting slightly
Raj where did u source the wheels? I bought a set off ebay but cant find them now with the correct ford centres
I actually managed to purchase the wheels from the previous owner of my Escort Cossie - I know these are fairly difficult to source now!
Cossie looks great on the new wheels. Maybe get some Ronal wheels for the Renault, for the Escort get some white wheels. Nice collection of cars yaar😎
Only wheels for r5 gtt are either original, or silver sparco cromadora 7x15

@rajsangha911 pleeeease don't do ronal turbos. They really don't compliment the car aesthetically at all, despite the hundreds of people who've fitted these "scene" wheels to them. Honestly, find a set of 7x15 sparco cromadora and paint them silver, put the blue sparco graphics on them and you'll have the only 5 gtt with them (I had a set on my white one back in 1999 and the car looked amazing, plus no one else had them on a 5).
What do you love most Cars or car audio?

Yes Raj, 100% right choice of wheels for the escort, I'm a massive ford fan, put a set of rondell 122 on the series 1🤌👌trust me😊 love a renault 5 gtt as well. Awesome video as ever 👏
