Rosa Gallery Sap Green (as according to the pan I found being sold separately) is PY1100/PG7/PBK6, transparent and excellent lightfastness 3/3 stars.

Really enjoyed this side by side swatching and comparison. It's amazing how different they all are. When I use greens, I add sap green to add brightness to my mixture. Sap green reminds me of grass green like a golf course, bright yellow green. The mission gold is my favorite.

Your 1, 2 an 3 were also my favourites. I agree they were most sap green like

Sap green (to me) should be leaning towards may or spring green, with a bit of yellow undertone that looks like a vibrancy/sunshine coming through. I agreed with your top three ratings!

I love these! I have five of these sap greens, but I have not compared them. To me the Mission Gold wins hands down. It is lovely.

I love this guessing game! I think you should make a more dramatic looking cover image for it! Like those over the top faces people put on CZcams videos nowadays. I hadn’t actually noticed those super viral videos existed until I cleared all the history off of a tablet and found myself with a fresh look at CZcams and got a new personality because every little click you make completely redefines who you are. I actually reset the whole thing a couple of times and may have had a few new personalities that way.

I love these blind tests. So interesting, great video ladies. I think ive only tried the windsor and newton sap green. I probably have some in my pallette sets ive not got round to painting with yet lol i feel i should start a sketch book. Rotating between different brands per painting to get more use out of them lol that cactus plant painting was cute ❤️❤️

When a watercolor is opaque, it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s white (pw6) in it. Some pigments are less refractive than others (among other things) I do love me a sap green tho. 💚

    This is very interesting! 😮
I never liked sap green because the sap green in my brain is the ugly dull olive-ish green like dirty leaf laundry. It’s not green or olive or yellow or brown but is just super unpleasant for my more vibrant taste. When I saw the sap green I expected and you said, “that is NOT sap green!” it makes me wonder maybe I don’t actually dislike that color? 🤔

So I paused the video at where you finish painting the leaves...so i dont know which ones which yet...
But for me sap green is more of a brown pickel color...not the bright may green color that a lot of the pro brands make...I think in this video i prefer the very first swatch and the bottom 3rd swatch. I like the bottom 4th and last swatch as well...all the super bright greens are my least favorite...im excited to see which paints are which...fun video, thanks for sharing. Much love ❤

I've got to the part where you listed them out, and it's so funny how different artists' preferences are....the first one was my favorite, along with the 3rd in (which surprised me bc I've never liked the look of winsor and Newton sap green in person- too bright green), the 4th bottom and bottom last are also my favorite Sap Greens...which were all the greens you didn't consider Sap Green...and all your favorites are all the greens I don't consider Sap Green but would label it more of a May green or grass green. SOOOOOO funny how different people are....Anyway great fun video...thanks for sharing 😂

Blind testing paints means you try them, but keep your eyes closed so you can’t see them.
