    Very Nice! 1- Thanks for the tip on the router bit, I'm gonna buy one and try it out. and 2- Every cutting board i've ever made contained Walnut and then a variety of other species. Again, very nice

      @@estebangutierrez9941 He's using a router and a routing sled. For stuff like this it'll work great, I've used the same method to flatten tree stumps before.

    That’s super nice! Do you have rough detentions of the board and of the wood strips before glueing?

      Thanks! The board ended up about 15 3/4" x 9 1/8". The bricks are about 1 1/8" x 1 7/8". The mortar strips are 1/4" thick, and the finished board is 1 7/16" thick.

    Do you have thoughts on spraying the board with water after your initial sanding to raise the grain? Then sanding again to get the fuzzies off? And then applying your final coats of oil....

      Any food safe mineral oil will work. This particular stuff came from the local Walmart.

      Search your area for a hardwood supplier. I'm in the Houston TX area, and buy my lumber from Houston Hardwoods.

    Very nice job. Only thing is brick layers don't line up the joints anymore let alone stager them correctly. They do a horrible job you do a perfect job. Thanks

    I took some pictures from your video and went out and showed the shop 🏬 owner he also makes wood 🪵 stuff 🚪🪑🪟🪞but he refused saying it is very difficult not working always.He said it is very difficult, we cannot do such a thing. ☹️

    Just curious... did you plane it with a router because you don't have a regular planer, or because the router is better for some reason?
    Similar question for sanding... orbit sander better than a drum sander or do you not have a drum sander?

      I have a planer, but you don't want to run an end grain board through it because there's a risk of it blowing apart (damaging the board, planer, or both). There are ways to lower the risk, (gluing on support boards, super shallow passes, helical cutterhead) but doing it with a router sled is much safer for both the board and the board builder.

      This board was made with Titebond 3. It's rated food safe, as is Titebind 2 which I use more often now.
