    I fully welded my control arms before I cycled my suspension... just gonna leave it at that... lol

    Doing dual swing is up there with serious RnR to get it right. We all make mistakes, gonna need to do some trig to figure that out. Good luck. Look forward to the next installment of this rebuild.

    I’m so glad that I found this channel. Lots of great info! I’m no stranger to I-beams and custom link suspensions, but I’ve always slammed vehicles to the ground on air ride or hydraulics. I thinking on my new project that I’m going to try to build a “daily prerunner” style tuck and I’m realizing really quickly that this is Not going to be cheap..... lol. Luckily I can do my own fab work but the shocks and all the other goodies will add up quick. But anyways, I appreciate all of the work that you guys do and Christian is a Bad Ass Fabricator!! Keep up the awesome work.

    I spent 3 days on the steering on my F100 build and I have learned to not weld anything until it is all in place. I made one set of swingers and had to redo them because of clearance issues.

      no doubt! If I had a 100% accurate frame file I could have drawn everything up and known from the start if it was going to work.

    Protip for anyone that doesn't finish the video. Make temporary tabs for mockup on anything that can be changed, then cycle everything before making all the real tabs.

    What type of steel and what thickness are you guys using here? And how do you make the connection points where things bolt together?? those are already pre-done here so I’m just trying to gain all the right knowledge to actually get the spindles built in the first place… also wondered, are you guys going to continue the prerunner 101 series? It is absolutely invaluable to people like me.

    I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what size I beams and radius arms I need to make. I want to build a 97 ranger as a prerunner but dont know how much longer i need to make my i beams and radius arms if anyone could help me figure that out that would be awesome

  • @24BLUEELMO

    Why not just make the swingers with a curve forward for clearance? Instead of just a straight tube

    • @traviscassidy1869
      @traviscassidy1869 Před 3 lety +1

      Bent tubes want to continue to bend under load. All the best swing steering setups run straight tierods.
