As a girl who plays sky, please protect yourself even though that game is very child friendly
I’ve encountered *three* creeps on sky so far, and all of them asked me to be their girlfriend (one of them is a predator too, I’m a minor and he knows)
I rejected all of them and even got friends to pretend they’re my s/o so that they’ll stop pestering me
It only worked on ONE of them, not the other two. I had to block for my safety.
Please stay safe on sky, always have friends to come for you whenever things get out of hand
The creeps I met went as far as saying sexually suggestive things and requests to me, tried manipulating and gaslighting me
Please try to report players like this and block them too
This is for the safety of everyone, I want sky to be a safe place, not a place for creeps to gather and prey on us whether we’re male, female, enby, genderfluid, etc
To those who met creeps and was affected by the experience,,

I'm a girl whose been playing sky for almost 10 months now, so I would consider myself a veteran.
Back when I was probably just 1 month into the game, I remember me and my younger cousin who I play with (she is also a girl) just came back from Eden so we needed to collect all of the winged light again.
As usual we started off from Isle collecting the winged light. Once we made it to the start of Forest, we sat down at a table and chilled for a bit.
That was when another Skykid had joined the conversation. He introduced himself as Duff and asked if he could join us as he too needed to collect winged light.
So me and my younger cousin agreed that one of us should unlock chat with Duff incase anything happened (e.g. he has to go afk and tell us).
My younger cousin decided to unlock chat with Duff. Everything went smoothly, and we made it to Valley. But that was pretty much where it went south.
I couldn't see what Duff was saying but I COULD see what my younger cousin was saying, and I noticed how her sentences became more short, and almost rude?
It was when we were just about to start the flying race, my cousin had messaged me privately telling me that she didn't want to talk to Duff anymore.
I was confused but she explained how Duff was asking her personal questions such as her age and where she lived. But as time went on he started making inappropriate comments. Asking my cousin for her social media to send him lewd pictures and just generally being a creep. Calling her a "cute beautiful girl".
Of course we ended up blocking and reporting him immediately.
Just to be clear, me and my younger cousin are both minors. Me being 16 and her being 11. And I frankly found it terrifying how Duff didn't seem to care about her being a literal child and continued to make sexual comments.
I'm so glad I was online with her at the time, else she might have been really distraught by the situation. It just goes to show that not everyone you'll meet on Sky, or any game will be a nice person. Doesn't matter if your a guy, girl or any other gender, please do look out for yourself and the people around you. 💞

As a male player, I want to say, I don't care about dating, I jus wish I could hang out in real life with some of the amazing people I've met in sky. I think the moment we start caring about what gender do I look like or which one the other person is, there is where we miss the point of the awesome way this kind of "social experiences" can bring people together as they truly are. I keep finding everyday awesome people that if wasn't for their names and the gender we have implied to it, I wouldn't really care a bit who they are or what they look like.

Bruh my little sister was candle running in rainforest with me and my friend. She usually dresses up as a girl and I usually cross dress or dress as my gender and this moth came friended my little sister she unlocked chat and probably the 3 questions he asked was “can you be my gf” bruh so she asked how old he was and he was 17 my little sister is 12 years old WTH idk if he stopped or not she didn’t tell me he did ask if he could follow her. I’m not gonna say anything else because I’m not sure if she wants any one else to know. this happened today for her I told her to block him if he made her uncomfortable I think she did already but still I’m kinda scared for her

Did she in fact block them? Never be afraid to say something. Even if you feel like she wouldn't want people to know, you have to say something because it could go further and put her in danger.
Thank you for sharing this! Sky is NOT taking care of their underage players and we need to be aware of this. As sister with siblings aged four to twelve, I can relate. We will sometimes play Sky, but only with parental controls on so that no one can chat. Even then there can be toxic people around that get mad that you don't talk to them.
Sky needs to make a 'kid mode' button in Sky, one that lets other people know you are underaged and aren't able to talk.

gah, sky players like this are super scary... i encountered one once thinking they were nice. they surprisingly unlocked chat the same day we met then we exchanged cords. i didn’t think much of it till they kept getting online when i lit their friend candle 😅 i didn’t mind the company but things got weird when they started to flirt with me knowing my age...
