I traveled solo to Medellin this March. Agree with all the points.
These are great tips but nevertheless, Colombia is a beautiful country. Just be careful like in any other country and you will be fine.
I used to hang out with my groups in the hostels in the evening and we were good. As param mentioned, just don’t be alone at night and do not get swayed by women or drugs.

That's my take away, always greet before you ask any query to anybody, , very polite gesture of locals..The city has seen so much that even a minor act of shutting car doors adds to their sensitivity. They keeping shoes clean and no shoewoffs , all shows how modest and grounded they are amidst ppl with different interests. waise aap log bal bal bach gaye.... Bhai your videos are addictive, one thing which you said about don’t slam the doors, in my 30 years of living in Dubai with driving my own vehicles. One thing has always been common every time someone coming from India, they just slam so hard on my door of my car. It’s so embarrassing to tell them. Car doors are to be closed slowly. Since I attend lots of events, like hundred to two hundred a year in hotels, many as speakers and being Indian, many Indian guest requests me to drop of nearby place after meeting. The minute i don’t request politely to close the door, it’s gets so hard slammed and like doors gonna break sound. And if you be polite not to say, everyone slams so hard. So you are right in this video, especially Uber or car drivers do gets upset and angry.
