With this tutorial alone, you can explore the program super well and easily. Gonna recomend this to every begginer!
This was exactly what I needed thank you! I also added gate weave with the 'wiggle' expression so it looks even more retro!
That fractal noise technique for the dust tho-love it! Great tutorial

Wow, this is awesome. So many little details which makes the final composition marvelous. Today I watched like 20 trail techniques in AE and this is by far the most interesting one from technical point of view and from final result too. Great job keep creating amazing stuff!!

I went to subscribe only to realize I have subscribed already, no surprise there! You have a fantastic teaching style, _and this effect is classy_ - I, for one, *REALLY* appreciate the fact you actually explain what so many of the effects are doing.
the way you added dust was new to me! really cool :)
The great algorithm has finally delivered for me! I've been lightweight obsessed with this sort of trail effect recently and playing around with a couple stabs at it. This is way better than what I came up with though! Thanks for sharing!
Great tutorial, thank you!

Thank you! Glad you like the intro, maybe one day I'll do a tutorial on some of the techniques! Regarding the fading background trails they actually are made using the same method as this tutorial; using the echo effect and colorama to change the colours!
Thank you ❤️🔥❤️🔥
You deserve so many more subs!!!! You are awesome!
Great Video, you helped me out a lot! Thanks :)

There are some really nice techniques here.
Thank you, glad you like it!
Omg For The First Time Thank You Bro . :)
I love it when i'm checking a tutorial for one specific effect and suddenly i'm Flabbergasted by learning something as simple but effective as the loopOut functions. Goddam how wasn't i aware of this?
Thanks for the video! y are awesome!
No problem! Thank you!
thanks
This channel is sooooo underrated! Will you ever do a tutorial on how you did your intro?
thankyou
Damn that dust technique was :o Learnt something new. Thanks Man!
Glad to hear you found it useful!
Awesome
awesome
If you add "CC Composite" at the end of the effect stack on the trail layer, you don't need the fill layer. Nice tut.
Thanks man, that’s a really good shout!
Bro, thank you for this tutorial, I just finish my poster at 2:30 am because it’s inspired me so much 😂
Nice!!!!!
Your knowledge of after effects inner workings is really impressive. I know the software well for my purposes, but would love to have a more advanced understanding of how all the effects work intricately. What is your recommendation for a course in mo graph? Something that covers the levels to colorama parameters to expressions on timing. Thanks!
any chance you'll be uploading more tutorials? these are the best oh my goodness they're beautiful
유익하다!
I usually don't prefer tutorials that use presets instead of hand animation, but you really sold me on this one! Super clean and a really informative, in-depth tutorial! thankyou :)
Love this, could you do a tutorial on the ball animation (delay effect)
Nice one
Great tutorial, thanks for sharing!!!... Greetings.
You're welcome, thank you!
really cool! i actually watch these videos on mute and on 4x speed bc i only wanna see how you procced to do it and to see if i'd do it the same way and after this i'm trying to redo it without watching the video to get better in ae :D
That’s a really good technique to learn and improve!
Hello!
First of all, thanks for sharing this simple but amazing effect. I’m happy to test it myself thanks to you.
A quick question: Why do you create an adjustment layer per effect instead of stacking the effects inside a single adjustment layer?
Is it possible to change the color of the star dust at the end (instead of white) ? Thank you !
been here before 100K
There's a photograph by William Klein that inspired me to make something similar to the balls moving. Didn't think that I would accidentally land on a tutorial that perfectly shows how to achieve what I want lol
Why did this guy stop posting videos?! HE WAS INCREDIBLE!
What's up @mographmill, could you please tell me roughly how you did the rotating text going from X to Y at the 0:07 mark please ?
AMAZING tutorial! Hope you don't mind my unsolicited audio suggestion, but you should check out the RX8 "de-click" effect. It helps eliminate the sounds of lip smacking noises in voiceover audio :D Thanks for this great vid!
Great tutorial! does it just worksI was only work in Text or shape layers? I just tried to do the effect on an imported image and it doesn´t work.
can it apply in 3d space?
came from reddit this is the shit man! keep it up
Thank you!
Really solid tutorial! My one question would be is there any reason not to have the adjustments (cc/blur/noise/glow) on one adjustment layer? Did you set up this way so can see what each effect does to the overall composition?
Thank you, that's a really great question! You can definitely combine those effects onto one adjustment layer, and if you already know you only want to add a bit of noise and some blur it will be a bit quicker to do that rather than creating and labelling a new layer for each one. I'm personally in the habit of having different kinds of adjustments on separate layers. I've found when experimenting and building looks and effects it's much quicker and easier to be able to turn off, duplicate, tweak or isolate different adjustments if they are separated, as sometimes you can end up with plenty of effects stacked up and it can get a bit time consuming trying to go through the effects control panel to find things.
I can't do this gradient(02:40) on my logo coming from an eps, does the gradient only work with text?
Great tuorial! unfortunately it's not working with png or svg instead of text. Is there a workaround? I'd like to aply this effect on my Logo - thanks!
Can it works with vector eps file
Here from reddit
version for premiere pls
Great tutorial, really enjoyed it, but for some reason when i open the graph editor my graph is an S shape instead or a dome like yours, I'm only now learning AE and i don't know why that is or how to change it. Any advise?
Hi, glad you liked the tutorial! So your graph editor is set to the value graph. In order to to switch it to the same mode as I was using you need to (while in the graph editor) click on the small menu icon next to the eye icon. In the menu that pops up just select "edit speed graph".
If you search on youtube for "after effects speed vs value graph" you should find some videos that explain what the 2 modes are and why you'd use them. Hope this helps!
