A Short Walk Through Downtown Raleigh at Night | City Sounds for Sleep and Study

- Enjoy this short night walk through Downtown, Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. We were looking for cozy places to film rain around Charter Square for our new CZcams channel, www.rainrelaxation.com, and noticed that we caught the tail end of GalaxyCon. I did quick loop down Fayetteville St and then back up Salisbury and test a few camera settings after dark. The gimbal work was a bit sloppy and I didn't have my wind screens with me so there is a bit of wind noise occasionally. I had a high pass filter applied in the F6 so it wasn't too bad at all. I generally don't post test videos like this, but recently I had the thought you all might enjoy these anyway.

We mainly film using a Sony FX30/E 11mm F1.8 camera and a Zhiyun Crane M3 gimbal for steady footage. Nature's sounds are recorded with a Zoom F6 and binaural microphones, and we polish the final product with Davinci Resolve Studio and Izotope RX.
The purpose of our videos is to provide an escape, potentially offering benefits such as relaxation, stress relief, and fostering a calming environment conducive to meditation, study, and sleep.

Is this the popular area night spots you were passing?
I’m not very sure TBH. Was just going for a walk. I seldom go downtown these days. I’ve noticed that Raleigh’s downtown has been pretty dead any time I’ve visited. It’s odd.
Glenwood Ave is more of the area for nightlife, its more on the western side of downtown!
Glenwood South, Moore Square, and the Warehouse District are the nightlife spots. The CBD (where the footage is) is more of a 9-to-5 area.

This was filmed with the FX3, FE 14mm F1.8 GM. The description is wrong. 12800 ISO max. I switched to the FX30 because it’s lighter and gets the job done without having to worry so much about getting robbed.
