Thank you for the video! I also play without face cards and just use the numbers (10, 9, and 8). My brain likes it better😂
I really love 2 player card games
Dude you've made my life souch more interesting with all these new card games, thank you
My cousin's husband is Italian and he taught us this as kids using an Italian deck.
Another good vid thank you.
Great game!
Noice
Simple game, but like bridge the scoring is hell
Ignore the Primero point.
The only complicated part of Scopa's scoring is its prime point. You can ignore it, or you can give it to the player with the most sevens (or most sixes if both players have the same amount of sevens).
Similar to casino
They're both European fishing games, so it's likely they share a common origin. Casino and Scopa are the only two that have really gained traction in the English-speaking world, though.
@@reillywalker195 Thank you for that tip
Do Doppelkopf next
New video!
Woo hoo 😁👍
This scoring system for the Prime is unnecessarily complicated. In family games of Scopa we just add the face values. Some families, quite like this system, just give th Ace a value of 5,5. In my family and my whole region though, the ace is worth just 1.
2:27 If you're playing with Italian-suited cards, use coins in place of diamonds.
2:36 If you'd rather not memorize or look up how to score the prime, you can instead give the prime point to the player with most 7s followed by most 6s if both players have two 7s each. Italians and purists may frown upon that rule change, but children and casual card players will find it easier to grasp.
0:05 As at least one other commenter has mentioned, you can also make a 40-card deck for Italian card games from a 52-card French-suited deck by removing its face cards.
I'm italian and in all my region we don't use this scoring, we use the one you mentioned. Even in the "official" games, meaning games in bars 😄
Bro really named them Tom and Jerry on purpose 😺🐀
Casino seems to be the better variant of this game.
Casino has simpler scoring and more variations, but Scopa has simpler gameplay in general and also forms the basis of the excellent partnership game Scopone.
You forgot the king of diamonds/pentacles. It makes another point like the 7
Bruh, Tom and Jerry are playing a card game. Should’ve known Warner brothers is a American company
