This was a pretty good, succinct description of what the movie's about. Really brutal, powerful film imho. Alex Garland is great at depicting complicated, unsettling shit.

i like that the director put this out. like, he stood by it and obviously must have known what shit he was gonna get from it. but it is kind of dumb.

The biggest problem with the movie was the title. Civil was was just a backdrop to essentially a war journalist story. It's like calling a movie gladiator and it's about a roman blacksmith making the swords.
1 minute, 4 views, really fell off.
