Love that the SE now comes standard w smart key and push button start!
Yep I noticed that too in the Monroney sticker. Pretty cool. Too bad I'll be buying the LE,
@@braetonwilson4296 Nothing wrong with the LE.
@@Guy9998 I agree.
@@Guy9998I do love the 18” rims and sport suspension in mine tho honestly feels amazing
@4.0NA Yeah I just got my SE 2 days ago and I have to agree.
This is one of the best cars! Nice job Ben.
My parents bought me a 2023 SE for Christmas and I absolutely love it !
Nice review Ben! I love that the 2023 Corollas all have wireless android auto and wireless apple carplay. They also have the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with proactive driving assist. Finally, it's cool that even the base 2023 Corolla LE has the same 2 liter engine with 169 hp and the same dynamic shift CVT with a physical first gear! This means the base Corolla is faster than the base Civic, Elantra, Forte, and Sentra!
Why does this comment sound like an ad?
@@TheRandomperson1016 you sound jelly because you don't own a 2023 Corolla?
i love the Corolla Se its my first car and it takes me to where i need to go
Inventory is low at all dealerships. They have a very small and limited supply of them but they will order them for you as needed. They’re good cars. Much improved. Especially the new XSE trim.
I bought a 2022 corolla hybrid in jan..was very lucky I bought it when I did..I heard theres a 4 to 6 month back order on them now
4 to 6 months that is nothing
I live in Canada Toronto area.
I ordered Corolla 7 months ago and still no word.
I red on line, that people who order now, waiting time is 12 to 14 months
@@zxcasdqwe12 wow...that's crazy
I have an 2006 corolla, im in the process moving to Canada(wife bringing me over), now i might be importing my car. Loooool. Actually, 2003-2008 corollas are gems. Might own it until car market supply comes back to normal
@@zxcasdqwe12 that’s crazy!
I love the car but I wish they would have kept the triple j headlights
Just bought this car! Absolutely fuckinf love it. The mileage is without question amazing. And it’s actually pretty sporty if it just didn’t top out at 114mph. Someone hit mine and todays the day I get it back from the shop!!!
are SE automatic?
Toyota knows how to build a awesome cars
The AWD hybrid option is the real news here.
I bought the 2022 SE Corolla in this same exact color. I like my '22 with the triple j headlights. The rear diffuser on this '23 just does not look good. I don't care for the black rims either. The only difference interior wise is they moved the parking brake control, rear charger outlet, the MID display is centered, and obviously the infotainment upgrade. Oh and the knob to change driving modes. Other than that it's more or less the same as my '22. Another new feature is wireless Android auto and Apple car play which the '22 is does not have (wired). Thats one feature I would not mind having. Glad I bought it when I did. Had to wait 2 weeks for delivery (not too bad of a wait). I feel sorry for people now in the market for a new Corolla. Gosh knows how long they will have to wait! Great review!
I feel sorry for those who bought the 22, the 23 is so much better.
@@christianmartinez1921 I bought the '22 SE which has the 2 liter so I'm not missing out too much. If I had purchased an LE that would be different! Overall, I'm not missing out on too much, although I wouldn’t have minded the wireless Android auto. The infotainment upgrade would have been nice as well! In my opinion the rear diffuser on the '23 just doesn't look good aesthetically speaking compared to the '22. Other than that I'm happy with the '22.
@@christianmartinez1921 I actually wanted the '22 over the '23 because of the manual option. My '22 order was cancelled by Toyota so I had to change it to a '23 model. The '23's are better but I really wish the manual trans was still an option.
Is this the classic silver color?
I got mine with all black and red trim “sport” interior but don’t let them trick you. It’s essentially just the interior of an xse without the gadgets
Beautiful car . I want to trade in my Corolla SE 2020 for a 2023 . But it’s a little expensive
I’m trying to decide to get this car,or a Honda Civic sport which is better give me your opinion.
Just put my name on one today. Hopefully it will be here in a few weeks.
I wanted a SE in underground but couldn't locate one with a moon roof package.
I had to settle for silver but I'm sure I will be happy. This will be my fourth Corolla
Did you get your car? How do you like it?
@@darkrulier Yes, I got it within a week of posting this comment.
I love it! I had to pay extra for the premium package that included a sun roof.
But I knew that going in.
@@toynazi nice, I recently order a ñn SE Hybrid with the premium package for the moon roof also. Can't wait to receive it.
@@darkrulier Sweet. You will like it I'm sure.
I'm happy very happy with mine.
Does blind spot lights come standard on this Corolla year and trim?
Blind spot is not standard on the SE. You have to get the sunroof package.
I just bought a 2023 Corolla SE and agree.. it is only available in an add on premium package. I think standard with XSE if I recall what they told me.
@@ccgaskell Traded in my 2020 Corolla SE with premium package for a 2023 Corolla SE without the package. Did care too much for the sunroof but the blind spot was a life saver. I'm glad to have Android Auto.
@@mortisvan I was just looking up the Android Auto function. Do you know if it is a free trial and becomes a subscription service after some time ? I dont pick up my vehicle for another 2 weeks so havent had the chance to check that all out.
@@ccgaskell Android Aufo is part of the infotainment system. That part is free. The remote connect which allows you to start the car, unlock the doors and truck, set the climate control is free for the first year. You can track the speed of someone else driving your car.
@@mortisvannice! I pick my 2023 (SE I believe) tomorrow. Blacked out package. Can't wait to use the remote connect like you're talking about
Beautiful car 😍😍❤️ things I'll never get cause I'm poor . But nice review as well
Hey Ben great work as always… just wondering if the 2023 se upgrade comes with paddle shifters?
No
I got lucky than, found a 23 1200 under msrp, and it's made in Japan.
This color is so beautiful
I tried out the previous version of this car and it sounded like a golf cart when I drove one. Overall I wasn’t happy and it wasn’t for me. Probably a better car for other consumers out there!
Beautiful car mine is on order no dealership has one so if you want one order it now
I love the new Corolla I want a stick shift one
Does the interior come as an option in black instead of that gray and white ??
I’m wondering that also. That 2 tone isn’t the best. Looks white and not good. All black would be way way better for me.
Why did they downgrade on that gear cluster? 2020 hybrid cluster looks lot better. Also I really hate how car manufacturers are driving drives to touch the screen when we're in today's world we're all about keeping focus on the road
i see "the parking brake switch" position change
yes it used to be in front of the cup holders, now it's to the side.
Is this Corolla the standard SE or SE upgrade?
SE upgrade (premium package here in the USA). That's why it has the sunroof and blind spot monitoring.
Any recommendations from anyone If you had a choice between a 2020 corolla SE 30,000 millage is going to be payed off in 3 years paying only $455 with a 2.9 interest rate or trade it in for a my dream car challenger 2021 12,000 millage r/t manuel with plus edition, shaker, driver convinence, red brembo breaks, edition for 40,100 but interest might be 6.4% ?
Stick with your Corolla. It’s smarter. You have a very low rate, and right now with how rates are a perfect 800 score can’t even get a 2.9. Plus the vehicle prices are up too so you’ll be paying a premium for the challenger and also getting screwed even more on the interest. I wouldn’t do it, at least not right now that’s for sure
You will have the Corolla for the next 20 years costing you nothing. Compared to any dodge product that will be a money pit and you probably will not want it in the next 5-6 years
If you can afford it, go with the one that will makes you happy.
COROLLA!!!!!!!!
corolla!!
No more sport shifting on the shifter? Also no more paddle shifters? Not that its a race car lol so I understand it's a gas saver I likes my 2020 SE headlights look better that the 23 and why take off the passenger rear seat pocket
Is this car wireless apple car player ?
Be nice if they would actually build some of these and have them on the lots…sick and tired of the we can’t get chips for these cars b s!!!!
Does it have spare tire? No one mentioned about it
I just bought a 2023 Corolla SE. It does have a spare tire, but it isnt full size. It sits under the carpet mat in the trunk, along with a jack.
I have it in white mine don't have sunroof 😔
The best
Does it have remote start?
You can start the car through the Toyota app
I just saw a video that says remote start works with the key fob.. for 10 years. Then it expires. You can buy an APP to start it with your phone, but it is $8 per month, or $80 per year if you pay a full year in advance. I am guessing the APP gives you a greater distance to start it from.
No, they are not sold out. There are plenty of stock and they are just being delivered.
I tried to get one and they're not even taking orders
👍👌
Man speak slowly plz, calm down
🤦🏾♂️💀💀💀
He's on Adderall
I told him to but I don't think he listened
He’s on cocaine!
Just make playback speed 0.75X
does it have paddle shifters ?
no. standard on XSE though.
To bad the APEX didn't come in AWD!! That would be awesome!!
if I bought this car I wouldn’t be happy about someone else driving and revving up my brand new car. let alone on a cold start.
I get a new Corolla SE every year,,,,,this car is NOT all new,,,you guys say this every year, like my new Colorado Trail Boss,,That IS ALL NEW,,, but I’m a delivery driver and I don’t want the Corolla to change much,,it’s a purpose Bought vehicle!
You give bare minimum info. What is the point of being a car reviewer?
Can you speak litle faster next time, please.🤣
That two tone interior needs to go! It looks like an Oreo cookie.
I don't like these changes!! Where is the tuning knob?! 'B' mode??? So no more manual shifting?! Only USB-C ???
🤦
Garbage changes
The tuning know is still there. The only changes is the software plus USB in passenger rear and also thr grill at the front is slightly different.
But something else then, or are you expecting Toyota to change the car for you? ha ha.
Reliable for sure but design 🙄
F dealerships
Nobody can understand you.
A thoroughly modern boring appliance.
It's fun to drive and looks sporty and attractive. Not everyone can drive a Mustang or a McLaren.
I mean it’s still a Corolla. Still one of the best in its class though
@@braetonwilson4296 stop defending corolla on every single comment
Just accept that it is a pathetic boring car.
@@muhammadali-wq8jw looks like you're projecting and describing yourself. Sorry you're too broke to buy a new 2023 Corolla.
@@muhammadali-wq8jw it’s reliable & good looking quit hating
Very weird looking and ugly bland car. The Nissan Sentra and Mazda 3 look way better.
Really? Both the Sentra and Mazda 3 look uglier to me. Sentra also has 20 less horsepower even in the highest SR trim.
@@braetonwilson4296 Well to each his own, but it's obvious you have no taste.
Nissans are shit cars, this Corolla will outlast those cars good luck
Sentra, very bad car, looks good but it's too low and bad motor. Mazda 3, a three years old design and claustrophobic. Give me a Corolla and I'll be happy.
@@christianmartinez1921 The Sentra is not a bad car. The Corolla is an overpriced bland and boring car.
